1. Sniper rifles, which have longer barrels then the other guns, have been doing most damage since ME1.EnvyTB075 wrote...

Welcome to the BSN.

Not every aspect of ME3 was streamlined. Customization and leveling, for example, had been expanded on.
Customisation itself broke a number of things with the Lore and phsyics (example: extended barrels wouldn't affect damage output) though thats an actual "nitpick".
In the areas where the game actually mattered, the dialogue, the role playing aspect as shepard, that took an unforgiveable step back.
Also, we had barrel upgrades since ME1.
2. Auto diaolgue has not effected role playing out side of the people who want to play as psychos.

(Note: I didn't say I thought the ending was great. But ME3 as a conclusion to the series was, quite frankly, amazing.)

It deserved it. It has been by far my most played game of the year, and it was overall a fantastic game. It was a great conclusion to a fantastic series.

but it wasn't. Did you play the other games? It removed most of what made them amazing.

That is so not true about auto-dialogue. I was forced to agree with the Alliance, feel sorry for the idiotic asari, and worst of all I can't team up with TIM.dreman9999 wrote...

Btw, ME1 came out in 2007 so it had much stiffer competition.

I didn't like the ending myself, but the impotent rage people are expressing over this is just hilarious. It's like they all just suddenly realized how small the pond they've been making big waves in really is.
Kinda, yeah.

Also, another example of BSN providing valuable negative feedback while neglecting what Bioware did right:
No one ever mentions how the reputation system has been fixed to where Paragades aren't penalized for not having either paragon/renegade bar filled up. To me that's a huge improvement since before I'd have to glitch or cheat with my paragades in order to resolve conflicts that would need high Paragon or Renegade.
Bioware fixing a problem is good, but why should they be given GOTY when they fixed a mistake that shouldn't have been there in the first place?
I never said they deserved the reward for it. I'm simply pointing out that BSN tends to forget out instances of what Bioware did right.

Skyrim was last year's highest rated champ. Skyrim is a 96. Cod mw3 is an 88. It only sold the most, not scored the most.
Let's remain honest here: Skyrim got a 96, and COD MW3 got an 88. Neither were worth the score.

I mean non dlc. The only games higher then ME3 are downloadable games and a vita game.
And? A game is a game is a game. If a game scored higher than ME3, then ME3 cannot statistically be the highest rated.

The alliance is building the crucible. TIM would only allow you to work for him if you were an indoctriated slave. And the scene that Shepard was feeling sorry was not fault of the general Asari population, just there governement. It cold not to feel sorry for the general public of a race who had no say in what it's government did in secret.Steelcan wrote...

This reminds me of Lord of the Rings Return of the King winning 11 Oscars....only because it was the end of a large story that took a trilogy to tell. (the other two movies were better, but didn't win any awards in the years of their releases).
ME3 is similar to LOTR trilogy in that I think all the praise from the previous two games was being put on the 3rd game because together they all act as a single story.

Do you have the slightest idea why sniper rifles tend to be longer than other weapons? It sure as sh*t isn't so they have higher stopping power.
Auto dialogue doesn't affect role playing? Is that why it bothers me when autoShep just sort of plays along with the ME2 characters tissue-thin excuses for not joining up? Cause, y'know, it's no big deal, they're just ****** poor.

Yes, because this is how BioWare will judge how the next game will be like. If anything it will be streamlined even further.

I have zero sympathy for the asari councilor, the person you are forced to apologize to. The Alliance is incompetent without Shepard, they are holding him back, he spends half the game putting out fires that they should take care of. Cerberus gets results, whatever the costdreman9999 wrote...

Again, and? ME3 could have a million marks, but it wouldn't nullify the other 5 games that scored higher. Especially considering that metacritic is an aggregate review site, taking averages.

The real problem for EA-BW is that their disingenuous pre-launch marketing campaign will create a situation where jilted fans will drown out the marketing benefit from winning these awards.
The axiom of reaping what you sow and all that. I personally think the hangover from the ME3 marketing campaign will shadow BW for years maybe even to the end of their brand.
