I have always used names that are related to food in one way or another. Maybe it's work related i don't know, but it works for me. :-)

should have been "tags".... or a mineral like pyroxene or feldspar..

...this was my forumname in a MMORPG board. Soul strike was a lame skill, but it was the best one to add an -er to the end lol.

High School sports nick-name due to my height and facial features. 117 obviously from me creating my gamertag during the prime of Halo 2 Multiplayer back before they added stupid things like jet-packs and ugly ultra-HD graphics that strains the eyes.

Just a funny little nickname while growing up.

I go by Skiametric on Origin (I think of Greek origin) meaning shadow measurements. I originally found the term Skiagrapher online and liked it when I found out it was the old term for my current job as a radiographer. It meant shadow pictures, but I didn't like the way it rolled off the tounge so I chanced it to Skiametric.

On 360 I go by JimCamX. In high school my nickname was Jimmy (Jim), my actual name is Cameron(Cam), and my firends were all into motor cross (X). Unfortunately I was never a fan of motor cross, I just wanted to fit in, so I don't like the name anymore.

Partly from the matrix (Morpheus) and partly from the X-men cartoon character(Morph) lol. As for the last four digits, they were just something easy to remember.

Because word "Reaver" doesn't have exact translation to my language.

I mean, it has many similar meants, but there is no word that translates exactly as "Reaver".

And Storm is because i like Storms. (Also Warcraft Orc-Clan)

EVE Online related?

Related to the umm.... relation between the nature of the Caldari State and the rest of New Eden, and the given parellels between that and the audacity of organic races to even try to fight, with the intention of defeating, a billion+ year-old race of machines, and the entire psychology behind that. I don't have time to explain all of it, but that is most of the reasoning, also considering that my N7 Shadow is named Caldari Ghost. Sword to a gunfight, truly the epitome of human fighting potential.

Reference to Carsomyr. If you don't get it, you're not a real BioWare fanboy/girl...

Back in the early 90's a friend started calling me Delusion after the character "Delirium" in the Sandman novels. Apparently I couldn't actually be Delirium because that would be wrong, so Delusion instead...
By the mid 90's it was my alias for everything online everywhere... As mmo's and online games became more and more popular, I used it all over the place. In games like SWG where a surname was required, I added the 'Fel as the first thing that popped into my head.

Later as a pro gamer and when I started working on MMO's I was asked to stop admitting to being Delusion for a while so as to keep work and home seperate, so picked up a couple of other/GM alias's that most of you have probably never heard of.

Some issues happened and when I finished working as a GM, I decided I kind of needed some anonymity so I started playing female characters (something most people assumed Id never do) and named myself Cytheria for lol's, Lots of people got the names origin, and were equally confused, in awe, embarrassed or whatever.... Then a lot of other people started using it, people started getting us mixed up between games so I decided it was probably about time I thought of something actually original and that had apparently not been used before, and so took on the alias DrNoesis. Someone else used it to register a gmail account afterwards, but otherwise the names all mine :)

Contrary to popular belief, I do not actually race dragons. Although one person back in my Motorstorm racing days thought I was a boat racer (Apparently, Dragon is a brand or type of racing boat. Did not know that.).

I love dragons. Have ever since I was a kid.

I love car racing. That's actually how I met my husband, who was a dirt modified racer at a local track that I worked at back in 2005. I also raced a boxstock a few times in our local powder puff division (basically, amateur ladies night for racers, haha). My car is sold now and hubby's is currently parked since sponsorship money dried up when the economy tanked, but we still hope to put him back on the track sometime in the future.

13 has always been my lucky number, and was my racecar number.

So, that is how DragonRacer13 was born. The reason why the 13 got left off my BSN name is because I stupidly signed up with an email address that wasn't my EA one years ago, found I couldn't link anything together and, at the time, you couldn't ever change your sign-up email address from the original (or maybe you could and I got bad information), so I made a new handle that was simply DragonRacer.

Borne out of my love for the Sega JRPG for the Dreamcast and GameCube, Skies of Arcadia. The GC port added Legends as a subtitle and Legend was also the highest possible title that Vyse, the protagonist could reach. (you have to very nearly 100% the game)

I've used TheKillerAngel for about 10 years. I was thinking of a new online screenname to replace an old one, and decided that I liked the title of the Civil War historical novel The Killer Angels,  so I decided to adopt the singular form of it and have used it since.

Geeeniuss!

Edit - mine. Grim is my nickname since... a long time. I tend to be a profficient killer in games/paintball. so added AoD.
GriM_AoD= GriM_Angel of Death (Grim Reaper/Death incarnate). Capital M for aesthetics
It is also my gamertag for whatever I play.
Though recently had to change it on XBL as it 'corrupted' and XBL customer service is beyond sh!t...

SimplyNeo - comes from a typo I made, way back in 1996 when I was creating a user account name. The internet was new to me so I thought it was Simply New to me. Of course, in 1999, The Matrix came out in theatres, everyone assumed my screenname came from that movie.

However, I use more and more of my PSN name (and now Origin): MrDbow ... which is Mr. D(first initial) Bow(first three initials)

Grim, did you play a certain massively multiplayer space combat simulator game about 10 years ago?

My own screen name does mean something in local slang, but I mainly chose it because every sequence of characters that resembles an actual word tends to be in use by the time I sign up.

I don't remember a massively multiplayer one.

You've reminded me of Freespace2 though - that was a good game... might see if I can dig it out.
