Liara is the only character in the series where her chest growth actually makes sense.

Maybe. But we don't know that it's for milk. For all we know, they secrete something more akin to fruit juice then they do milk. While they do have breasts that are obviously for feeding, Asari might not make what we would think of as "milk" in them. They could secrete freaking liquid element zero for all we know, because baby Asari get nourishment from it. We just don't know. Even really human looking aliens might Asari might have really weird alien biology in ways we don't realize.
