What do you think they are? I'm thinking the Novaguard, Drellguard, and Slayer are very much in this camp, but mastering them is just so incredibly rewarding. The Volus engineer and adept are also quite tricky to use.

As an addition to this, if you are good with these classes, how do you play them? Wit the Slayer, I charge a target after stripping its shield, phase back, prime again, and PD it. Drellguard/Claymore is a matter of getting the right cadence with charge/grenade reload cancel (Shoot/charge/shoot/grenade/shoot/grenade loop). Novaguard is a matter of choosing your targets well and getting a sustainable cadence with charge and nova.

Don't think there are any.

Novaguard maybe, but Slayer? No.

Anything squishy and not campy. Those vanguards you mentioned are right up there (I can make the Slayer work on gold, but the Drellguard and Novaguard are too difficult for me). Fury as well maybe.

Novaguard, Slayer, Drellguard, GI, GE.

I guess you could throw the Fury in there too. Also probably the HE... Stentron can somehow take that class and score 200k in good lobbies in very quick games... no idea how he does it.

GI takes great skill to go to Gold or Platinum? Really?

Yeah I wouldn't put the GI or GE in there.

The two ex-cerberus, unless you're just spamming smash through a wall. Probably the fury too.

Phoenix Adept. Well, at least, it takes a whole lotta strategy and tricks if you actually want to do any good with him.

I find that he works best as a hybrid weapons/caster class. I treat him as a soldier with biotic abilities, so I take a Harrier with warp ammo and use singularity to prime targets, with the occasional lash and smash.

I have no clue how to play the Smashguard though.

Yeah, I think I made the mistake of focusing on smash for the Adept.

For the Smashguard, it's basically copy paste from sy7ar's Project Phoenix x Overlord solo, accounting for the increased cooldown of smash. Or cheese it with the Reegar.

I can play a variety of kits in plat, but i admit i'm afraid of playing vanguard kits at that difficulty. Never tried it since some can already be hard to play in gold, depending on the conditions (lag...), and since sync-kill/stunning bosses make the bulk of the enemy's ranks, i don't feel very confident about that.

Yes actually. DPS is nothing if you have no idea about survivability.

Maybe it takes some skill if you run without cyclonics, where it's actually squishy.  GI + cyclonics is another easy mode class.  Might as well be playing kroguard/TGI.

Sirian's just in denial cause it's his favorite class.

*yawn*

Anything in the game is easy mode if you stack enough consumables on it.

Pathetic argument I've heard a million times before, get over yourself scrub.

Fury and GE easy enough on Gold. I took a GE on Platinum to demo my non spawn nuking skill. I played with Ashen and dont know who the other dude was, but considering I took a shotty which I never use, hadnt played Platinum in forever, I was keeping up with them until Wave 7....then it all went downhill hehe. If I had followed their lead, I dont think it wouldnt have been too hard. Ah well, cest la vie.

I honestly dont think there is a kit you cant run on Gold, Ive pretty much run them all and I dont consider myself an uber player. Platinum is another story though. And only because you need to deal with boss spam more than anything else and why alot of kits get overwhelmed if not prepared properly. (Thats for us non elite types)

GI with no cyclonics is basically instant death if you take a wrong turn.

Anyone who doesn't think it takes skill to play needs to take a 0 fitness GI into Gold/Collectors without cyclonics.

Enjoy getting one-bursted by everything in the entire game.

Also, Vanilla humans. Powerful, but very underrated and not too good in the wrong hands.

Same with Drell and many other classes. But others don't get perma-wallhack.

Sorry Air Quotes but I stopped listening to you after your last tirade. You can deny it all you like but I don't listen to people who imply that my friends are hackers.

Slayer definatly doesn't require skill the way i play it, which is acoylte+incindery ammo and then just run around PDing al the things and charging when i need barrier back. Then theres tge biotic slash spam build even and thats just plain cheap.

I'd say the GI with a scorpian+proxy mine build needs a certain amount skill to play well and be constantly agressive. Also novagaurd and smashguard(unless your smash through walls).
