I just want a proper send off for my torso shepard....

Please get her/him out of the rubble....pleaaaaaaase....

THIS!

So much this-would be nice to hear that Meers and Hale are returning.  That would really pique my interest.  But so far hearing only about crew members makes me wonder since they are so fantastic about dashing any and all hopes.

if Shepard is just standing up out of the rubble, Meer and Hale aren't necessary

Well, of course not, but note that I said it would be nice to hear that they were returning.  That would certainly indicate that Shepard is, shall we say more active than just a bag of bones being lifted up.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be truly happy if it included one scene of friends finding that very alive torso and that they (LI and friends) see that Shepard is alive and that Shepard sees that they are too.  I'd love that.  I'd apologize to BW for every mean, nasty, and prompted by frustration, thing I've said (well, mostly).  And, I would think they had at last remembered how important Shepard was to this story this time.  I have the bar set very low, because I'd much prefer this sort of scene be in context with a rational, coherent ending that showed real consequences and that affirmed that not only defeating the reapers mattered, but how it was done and what it left behind.  And, also that people were released from the shackles of an AI that had been trying to decide and create their future all along.

I'm fine with the breathe scene along with LI memorial wall scene(high EMS Destroy) in the EC, because I know that they were implying he survived and the Normandy crew is coming back to get him. I definitely don't want or need a big reunion scene with blue babies or Tali's house.

But I'm all for a little extra scene where Shep stands up out of the rubble with that creepy grin on his face and looks out upon the Galaxy he saved(sort of like the end of ME1).

there is light at the end of the tunnel

.. the last time, it was a muzzle flash .. will this one finish the job?

(personal opinion)

my approach is "wait and see" ... it they really pull of something personal (character & crew) and uplifting, i will bite. but i do not expect it. in this case, i can only win.

Don’t be fooled!!...that light is not the end of the tunnel. It’s the train rushing towards you

On this we do agree.  For me it wasn't ever about seeing little blue babies or homes on rannoch (sure it would be nice and I'd never argue against any of that-I'm all about more instead of less), but rather having some viable end to Shepard's story that allows me to go from there.  The memorial wall scene just is not enough because of all the junk that the kid says about destroy.  His explanation makes it almost laughable to try and fully understand any of it.  Sure, I can head canon it and make it all fit in a way I like, but this is a format that is by its very nature appealing to the visual nature in all of us-some of us just need more of the visual finality to make it work.  We are all made differently.  I like cheesecake and some don't.  I can accept reading a book and visualizing everything-in movies and video games, I want a visual finality to the product at hand that I can then spring from to imagine a future that takes place years later.

It's the immediate future that matters to me and in ME3 it is as much the idea that the friends and LI know that Shep's ok as it is the Shep knows that they are and for me I want it to visually play out.  ME2 did this so well with one scene that lasted a few seconds.  Shepard jumped onto the Normandy and we see the surviving squadmates share a moment of quiet emotion with Shepard-nothing needed to be said, but to me that was an incredible moment.  I teared up.  I just want and have always wanted something that just ties up this thing visually.  I can imagine blue babies.  And from there I could imagine a lot of other things and I'm happy to do so.  But, depending on the LI or friend placing names on the wall, you may or may not get a quizzical little smile and that also can mean a lot.  I've wanted to do other playthroughs with other LIs, but so far it seems Liara is the only one that makes sense in having this psychic connection and that you can really see smile a bit.

One minor scene could have changed a lot of this-of course that's not to say that there are not other things I think are just way off about the endings, but as I said I've started to set the bar very low.

If they do that, I'll eat my own shorts. Seriously, that's how certain I am that they will not do it.

Mac Walters and his team are awesome, who else can up with such gems of writing like turning humans into goo to build a space terminator because of "human diversity", clockwork oranging an autist to control robots or have death itself be cured with nobody giving a damn in what's supposed to be a science fiction story? How have so-called "fans" not noticed their talent until ME3's ending?
