Please don't let this be another ending related DLC. Please don't let this be another ending related DLC. Please don't let this be another ending related DLC.

Everything is sounding super promising, and I can't wait to hear more, but if it's set after the ending, I'll be crazy disappointed.

Why?

I just don't think it's needed.

Its needed but they dont have the talent to pull it off. Might be for the best to just create one nicely done side story.

Oh put a sock in it.

Prove me wrong fanboy

Hey MRG, you ever heard about budget and time restraint?

Maybe now I can get a proper helmet for Liara xD

Haha! That always sorta bothered me too.

RIGHT!?! I mean in Mass Effect she was running around on the moon and in ME3 on Mars without even being bothered by the fact that it is freeeeeeeeezing out there!!!

Other topic: Now that ME3 had one of the longest sh*tstorms in gaming history and all the writers got back together to think about the content for the new dlc. Do you think everybody is totally sarcastic whenever Mac says something? You know, like: "Oh great, another idea from Mac. What could ever go wrong..."
Think he's feeling comfortable with those other guys there?

Unless you are the extreme minority who disliked both Tuchanka and Rannoch, then you are wrong, since the dudes who wrote those are in on this project. Whether or not it turns out to be good, the talent involved is not in question.

Amen, brothers!! It can't be healthy going out into a dust-storm in Mars with only your nose/mouth covered.

As for everything else, I'm genuinely not sure what I want from this, other than something high quality. I haven't yet got Leviathan/Omega, but if this is good and the last bit of DLC, I'll buy all three and do one last full play-through of the trilogy, warts and all.

Do you think it will win a GotY award? You know, after enough money is spent in adds?

You know you totally think it matters.  You do.  Admit it.

In that case your analysis of talent is an outlier, and nobody really has a reason to prove anything to you.

Point out the amazing things both had. Were is the talent? They were mediocre missions filled with bugs and glitches.

How was tuchanka great? It was one explosion after another.
Did we see the old quarian cities on rannoch? Did we get to see a quarian without a mask?

You don't have to "show" everything when telling a story.

lets hope whoevers programming the Super-MAC is composed before he can complete his firing solution and fire another round at the franchise, although that runs the risk of it missing its target and messing up another franchise.

Thats something a lazy person would say. Especially since they didnt show anything to begin with.

Okay, so you want them to Show Shepard using the bathroom every few hours?

So you are comparing essential story parts that have been build up for two games with bathroom breaks?

Damn it Alliance! You can't even make toilets on a ship work correctly!

How are you supposed to grasp a concept like the Crucible when you can't grasp basic plumbing?

...Nevermind that going all the way up to docking the Crucible they still didn't understand what the thing was supposed to do.

Before responding I'm going to point out that this is a no-win for me, since this is an argument that ultimately distills to opinion and cannot be logically proven or disproven. Therefore asking us to "prove" that BioWare has a talented writing staff amounts to asking us to "prove" your preferences wrong, which is a losing cause.

But just in case you are genuinely interested in why most people - including me - love Rannoch and Tuchanka, here is a post I made awhile ago on Rannoch specifically:

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/13023113

Some of the pros I listed are better than others. For example in mission variety I mentioned the lazer fight with the Reaper, but I'll also concede that in terms of hard gameplay it's not all that well done.

Cerberus. Might be the Alliance colors, but it's still a Cerberus vessel :P

I would just be happy if he actually read books before he wrote.
