A seriously good question. Almost all of the cut stuff I've seen/heard is gold.

Jack almost crying is pretty cool stuff.

It's seriously baffles me, I don't remember if the Anderson dialogue was confirmed, the one about Shep being a good father or whatever, before Anderson passes. I heard you have to stay single throughout the series, but I haven't seen it confirmed. Sad, sad stuff.

I guess they had other priorities instead of wanting to develop their characters well.

Because BioWare doesn't want any controversy?

Endings?  Lol.

. Yeah that worked out well.  But I meant religious controversy, that scene could have pissed off a lot of people.

Bah, bull.  They ****** off enough people with the whole "Lazarus Project".

I don't have the same views, but I personally found that scene meaningful to Ashley's development.

. Ashley doesn't get development in ME3, BioWare wanted to keep it that way<_<

That's my point, they'd rather cut out meaningful development for the sake of "assets"

Here are two lines that might have caused it to be cut:

Shepard:  "I don'tknow if this is the Shepard you knew, or some incomplete copy.  I don't know."

and then before that...

Ashley: "Hate the smell.  Hate the colors.  Hate the reminder of...the end.  Y'know?"

Reference to DLC and the ending(s)?

And we all know if you don't pay IGN enough money, you don't get a high enough score so you can advertise it on your next commercial.  You know you care who won that GotY award, because it tells you what to think.  Admit it. Image IPB

Artistic Integrity.

dont b so entitled omg!11!

More seriously, I expect it was budget cuts, or chopping the game up into more piecies for the sake of later getting to release it as DLC, or just being rushed out... or a combination of all three. Lets not forget this comes from the same genius lead dev who cut Anderson's beautiful death dialogue down because of... reasons?

Word, I personally believe it's a mixture of rushed and their main priorities and focus.

In some ways i'm glad they cut the ashley one as if it was to be included it would require proper levels of dialogue choice to work.

Sweet baby Javik I hate Allers, and very good question OP.

Every time I look at her I just think how they could've used those resources on ME2 squadmates... Maybe then Morinth wouldn't have *cringe* died off-screen and we would've gotten more Jack.

ME3 needs moar Jack.

I think if someone tried to list them all in one post they'd break the BSN.

Because some people have really messed up priorities.

I'd rather take that one Jack dialogue than any of the fetch quest, to be honest.

I wonder why anyone would object to Ashley asking Shepard that in the light on her beliefs. We all know she believes in an afterlife, so really, why did they cut it? It seems natural that she would ask, and it's a really good scene.

I'm an atheist, and I don't see anything in that dialogue my Shepard couldn't have said.
