If I set Tomi to fight melee style, will he dual wield?  He has the dual wield feat but his avatar is only holding a single weapon.

He also has the weapon finesse feat.  So, is he smart enough to just use light weapons?

I don't know about the default system, since I don't think Tomi has two melee weapons by default in the OC. But, with Tony K's henchman AI (see the stickied thread for the vault link), if you give Tomi a weapon weapon that is light for him (a dagger or kukri) he will use it in his off-hand. I don't know if he will use a non-light weapon that way. Keep in mind that he starts with neither the ambidextrous nor improved two-weapon fighting feats by default, so dual-wielding carries a substantial penalty for him.

I just noticed, he doesn't have the dual wield feat, he has the two weapon fighting feat. So yes, he will suffer without ambidexterity. I wonder if he will grab it as he levels up. I'll just keep him using a bow until I see that feat, if it ever happens.

I could tell you if he gets it when I have access on my PC, (will send you a message since that would be a spoiler here) but as far as I've played with Tomi as henchie. I like him more as a shortbow specialist than a melee fighter. You can give him two little weapons i.e. 2 kukris, kukri and dagger or even mixing with maces or shortswords. Just keep this rule in mind, if you give him 2 weapons he will more likely use on his right hand the one which has the higher modifier (give him a +1 shortsword and a +2 dagger and he will use the dagger as primary weapon). This last rule seems to work for other henchies too (i.e. Daelan or Sharwyn which have the two weapon figting feat).
Everything will work this way if you have (as MrZ wrote) the Tony K AI.
Feel free to answer for any doubt

That's all the DW feats he gets by Level 14, just the one.  Sry.  Use Tony K's henchie utility to remove all the melee weapons from his inventory except for the two equipped kukris.  I believe the same utility will allow you to toggle him between the bow and melee if the standard menu won't do it for you.  I'm also not sure if you will be able to buff his both hands with something like Greater Magic Weapon or only the mainhand.  Never tried that either.  You shouldn't need to worry too much about AB penalties the way Tomi's character is set up.
