In that case if it is solely female soldier objectivization you were talking about, Halo has none.
But on the whole it is not exempt from "sexing things up for gamers",

There aren't that many of them.
All of the cool supporting cast spartan II's are killed off in the books. The survivors are hidden in more books and only Kat, palmer and that redhead from the other squad in infinity are ever shown in the games. Plus i dont remember seeing any female marines since Halo 2, but that was maybe me just not paying attention.
They showed my favourite Kelly in forward unto dawn, but that was barely a line of dialogue.

Women are oversexualized, emotional playthings
Men are hulking stupid brutes and heroic mimes for self inserting nerds
LoL Western values of gender roles.
At least the Japanese do it right. Oversexualization is done for the lulz (bayonetta). More Female characters are defined for who they are instead of what they look like, and Male characters look much less abrassive at least.

Should I start about how pointless (Miranda, Samara, EDI cameltoe are some examples) sexualization of female characters is an obvious method to attract young men (21s and younger, generally), considered disrespectful by many women, turning them away from the game and even the whole industry, thus creating the whole "female gamers do not exist" mentality many, many men and even women adopt, which once again turns women away from the industry, making developers care less and less about that section of their fanbase, therefore turning females away from gaming even more? It is just a game, yes, but it is also creating misconceptions, giving games a bad reputation, et cetera.
True but it doesn't bother me in the least and it won't turn me away like it might other women. To me it's just a game to enjoy and not to take seriously. If someone else gets offended or turned away from a game because of over sexualization or anything else, then that's their choice and right to think that way. I just choose to enjoy the game for what it is.

fun fact:
a lot of artists are female
Kind of half the artists who draw sexualized costumes and characters are female
(see the actual difference between male artists and female artists is that female artists actually understand human anatomy, and males either don't or exaggerate for the lulz; see bayonetta)
All the bloody dress mods on Skyrim Nexus are made by female modders. All Fanart on Deviant Art have female authors
Dress mods yes....revealing mods no....they are mostly male modders....Note how few revealing outfits there are for male characters....reveal for female characters far outweigh reveal for male characters.....but that's not stock/vanilla game....a higher standard of professionalism should be expected from gaming companies. I have absolutley no issue with revealing outfits, my modded Skyrim is quite naughty at times....but I would expect equal handling of male and female charcters in a stock game, whether that be revealing/sexulized or not.
dude you would hate my skyrim playthrough
it's absolutely filthy
think of the most degenerate basement dweller fantasies and that's what one of my characters has

What DID bother me was "sexifying" Ashley when she looked FINE in ME1. She's a MARINE. She looked like a marine in ME1. Suddenly, she shows up in ME3 wearing lip gloss, a ridiculously expensive haircut, and a Miranda-esque catsuit? I had no problem with the catsuit for Miranda - that was her character, like it or not. It was very much not Ashley's character, but apparently Bioware decided she needed to be "sexy" now, as if she wasn't in ME1. So yeah, that sort of thing bothers me quite a bit - that a perfectly well-developed female character had her entire identity and appearance revamped in order to be more fanservicey. Yuck.
The only other thing I can think of that really got my goat was a dev quote, from I don't remember who, before the game about why there hadn't been any female turians, and the dev responded with something awful like 'what, are we supposed to put lipstick on a turian?' As if that's what makes a woman a woman; lipstick. As if we would only want female turians if Bioware could figure out a way to make them "sexy." That quote grossed me out so much. Oh, and look, Nyreen managed to have a really cool design without any lipstick. Funny how that turned out.
Edit: oh yes, and EDI cameltoe. So very unnecessary.

And you certainly have the right to do so. I am simply saying that while to you it is "just a game", it does in fact have wide and far-reaching consequences to the gaming industry, allowing you to see through a point of view that might have passed unnoticed by you before.

I don't understand why character designers seem to think feminine= cleavage and heels
I find it funny that people complain about Samara's cleavage while Thane's chest is exposed just as much as Samara's... yet no one blinks an eye.
Oh come on, Thane has nowhere near as much hanging out as Samara; also he has a medical reason to have his chest exposed for more oxygen ventilation, so he kinda has an excuse.
Lol because why bother giving Kolyat new clothes? Easier just to change his head a bit and volia, Thane's kid.

Thane was a character designed purely to appeal to the female audience. There's no difference. Would you have felt differently if Samara had a medical reason?..
This is true.
I would.
Also, Thane is an assassin; makes sense he isn't in thick armour. Justicars are usually in places where the fighting is thickest; Samara even outright says so in ME3 so her strutting about in heels with her chest exposed it stupid.

Like earlier, is it somehow less sexist when it's the men who are objectified? Why do only 2 other people in this thread even acknowledge the point and the hypocrisy surrounding the sexualizatiom of the genders? Everyone seems to be crying foul over Miranda's heels and suit, but James' Michelangelo chest gets a free pass?

Exposing your chest is entirely unpractical and moronic. Protecting it does not necessarily hinder movement, flexibility or speed. Both characters' appearance were built to appeal to BioWare's audience through sexualization, nothing else.

He, at least, has an excuse. And where does it say his sole purpose was to be a LI?
With James and the rest of the men, they wear amour when appropriate (Barring Jacob but he's a cheating skank anyway)
True, James looks stupid, the rest of the males body types fit the fact they having to wear heavy armour and use heavy weaponry; of course they would have muscle tone. Frankly I hate the way Femshep is stupidly skinny.
Also, Steve, Kaiden and Sheploo all have the same body 'cause Bioware couldn't be bothered changing models in the topless scenes. :I

That's why I don't care about Miranda, Samara, et al being "sexy." My gripe is that Ashley got a "makeover," which implied that ME1 Ashley both a) wasn't sexy enough and
