Didn't mind the outfits so much, bar Ashley's barbie make over they fitted the characters fairly well, but I could definitely do without the ass shots and Miranda's ******.
Also not bothered by femsheps ME3 'heels' as they look the same height and width as the most comfortable and practical pair of shoes I've ever owned, low blocky heels can actually be better for your feet than shoes that are completely flat depending on your foot shape and how much arch support they have. Ashley's are pushing it though.

Does BW make you feel like they're catering more to the male players

Femshep has 3 lesbian romances that go to the end of the game (Kelly, Traynor, Liara)
She has 2 potential straight romances that go to the end of the game (Garrus and Kaiden), one of whom is bi, one of whom can't be romanced without an import.

BIOWARE.
HATES.
WOMEN.

actually, thats 2 gay, 2 straight,1 none-gendered romance.

asari dont have a specific gender so.

i dont think they hate women lol they just made a mistake but what isnt obvious these days lol.

Asari are monogendered. They are female.

Whether or not Asari are female or otherwise is a moot point when it comes to a human romancing them....from the manShep's perspective it is a hetro relationship....from the femShep's perspective it is a lesbian relationship.

This has nothing to do with being a woman, this has something to do with being a Trekki. And BW are huge Trekkis.

Am I really supposed to get the appeal because Kirk was bonking Blue Space Babes too?....

Seriously. A human female being with an Asari isn't gay? [sarcasm mode]Sure, she's got boobs, and feminine hips, waist, voice, eyes, legs, butt, gives live birth, slender shoulders, but it's not gay for a woman to be attracted to her. Of course...[/sarcasm mode]

Let me show how dumb that is. As you know, a woman is gay if she is attracted to this-

But in your views, it's not gay at all for a woman to be attracted to this?-

Blue skin doesn't change the sexual orientation. Fact is, a totally straight human woman could not find an Asari attractive. Period. It's completely nonsense to suggest it.

I know, I was agreeing with you Frosty. When I said "Seriously" as my first sentence, I was saying "this guy's right".

...First time I've ever had to explain that.

The plausibility of Ashley Williams adding mascara and other makeup before every mission is drastically low.

This, but at least she can wear a hardsuit. Alas, this is not the case in Mass Effect 2 which makes it most annoying to play through.

I almost never use Jack, Samara, or Miranda, except for their loyalty missions. I wish they had alternate outfits that were armor, I mean Jack could have had armor with lots of grafitti on it. It was a missed opportunity. Image IPB

Rebreathers just make me mad.

You know what? You're right. I shouldn't have used Frosty's post as a jumping point to argue the guy he quoted. No, what I should have done was quote the other guy with that post, and then quote Frosty and say "agreed" or something.

So yeah, my fault. Sorry (to Frosty).

You know, I'm kind of curious about that. Just skimming through fan fiction and whatnot, there is a LOT of Liara and Female Shepard romances. And it's pretty damn serious stuff. Deep, detailed, lengthy romances. And there's far more Female Shepard x Liara material than Male Shepard x Liara. And I wonder if the female authors are geniunely attracted to Liara or not and what the implications of that are.

Is simple, it means a lot of guys like playing femShep and setting her up for some girl on girl action....are you so sure all those authors are female?

Absolutely not.

First of all, most fan fiction writers are female. That's established to the point where TV tropes has an article covering it. - http://tvtropes.org/...WritersAreGirls

Secondly, even just scanning through, it's clear that very few of the stories centered on romance are nothing but sex, as you seem to claim. Most of them aren't even rated  'mature.' And judging by the length, nearly all the ones that do have explicit sex have plenty of other content as well. Pretty much like the game, really.

Thirdly, it's generally possible to guess the gender of the author just by the style and content of the writing.

Oh please, tell me what is the stamp of a male writer vs a female one. This I got to hear.

The conversation is drifting off-topic, folks. Let's keep it game-related and story or campaign related. Or, if none of those apply, then lore related, especially if there are story spoilers.

I thought ME 1 was pretty solid, marines wore shipboard uniforms and armor when they had to go on missions. Irregardless of specialization, everyone in the squad went out properly equipped,
ready to deal with gunfire, environmental hazards, etc, even though said Alliance seemed more of a ghost than a robust military force. It's at least a convincing futuristic picture. Most of the
women depicted had, I would say, the normal body ratio. But in ME 2 - 3, most of that went out tthe airlock, undercutting the foundation of credibility established in the first game. A pity.

I agree Obsidian a lot of what made ME1 special has been lost in the concluding games.  I appreciate that graphics etc need updating but fundamentals of the storyline seem to have gone as well.   As to whether BW cter for the male gamer?  sadly unless suddenly all games were written by women, we will see the trend continue.  I come from an era of the ZX Spectrum and am just grateful that we r now able to play games as a female char and such a strong one at that - long may it continue!

Couldn't agree more.

There's a reason why I disliked Miranda.

I'm a guy, but here's my take on it.

I don't care about what is worn as long as it makes sense for that character and the situation.  ME2 was stupid about not having hardsuits/enviro suits and armor.  ME3 had Liara in a gas mask when walking around outside on Mars...a gas mask...SERIOUSLY????  Of course they all did in ME2, along with Jacob, the heavy soldier guy running into battle wearing spandex...yeah....

Look, it's rated M, and, quite frankly, women all over the place dress rather provocatively.  I can see all sorts of skin just going to the mall.  So as far as that goes, I don't see the issue.  But at some point, a game has to have some measure of realism.  So Samara and Miri should not wear heels...Samara should not be showing off cleavage because it does not fit her, and let Jack wear almost nothing.  Although it would be nice if everyone had more than one thing to wear...and could change their clothes without mommy/daddy shep telling them to.

It would also be really nice if we could get decent run and walk animations so we don't all look like a bunch of bowlegged freaks.  Everyone walked like a bad cowboy cartoon character.

And in ME3, Liara takes my femshep's hand whie they're lying in bed talking and...LIARA!!! take off your gloves!!!  Frankly, I think ME was pretty cheap with animations and clothes.  But of all the things to complain about, this is pretty much bottom on my list...except for Samara's outfit...it was wrong for her, but it was also just insanely fugly.
