So they say. To me, not sounding as annoying doesn't make up for idiocy either way.

I hate what they did with the VS in ME3. Both sucked, and I was a fan.

Well speaking her mind is part of Ashley's character, and is why i really loved her character in ME1. Honestly i wish a lot more people would just speak there mind instead of sugar coat everything.

Yeah. I saved Ashley because
a) she was a woman, and I hadn't picked an LI yet.
Kaiden was the same class as me and therefore redundant.

So you're right, but not completely right.

Kaiden didn't ****** me off because he was dead, and therefore didn't talk back.

That's also a reason why some people hate her. Because she is "woman-not-in-the-kitchen". Even if hater says it's not, it is.

I wish I could leave them both on Virmire. Not even joking. The hard part of ME1 is deciding which one I hate the least. I usually save ashley so I can bang her on the way to Ilos. Then I kill her in ME3.

Wow, I find that... disturbing.

I think people get really defensive when questioned by an (ex)girlfriend/boyfriend. Femshep being questioned by Kaidan, and then being "forgiven for cheating" is every bit as annoying, but most players don't experience that.
