What kind of romance would you want for a straight male Inquisitor?

Providing the game doesn't make everyone bisexual/herosexual again. What kind of romance would you want? A woman similar to Morrigan? A complete personality flip to her? Or some other kind of character?

Why would that be a problem for a straight male Inquisitor?
Isn't this what the M/F romance thread is for...?

I'm not sure why this is reserved for a hetero romance, but whatever. I would really like an Aveline type to be honest. This is a person who isn't damaged, at least not on the level of the romances in DA2. Or maybe she is reserved when she first meets you and then opens up more as you talk to her and so forth.Major Crackhead wrote...

A female version of Fenris might be fun as well, which would probably be similar to Velanna from DAA (not necessarily an elf, but personality wise).
You know, Leliana goes for both too...Osena109 wrote...

Everyone better not be Bi. That was one of the laziest things I have ever seen in a video game.
Except it wasn't lazy by any measure.

One that you can screw up. The romances in DA2 were basically "pick heart, successful romance" even if you are nothing short of brutal to them and their beliefs. I want one where you have to be more careful.
That's not really how it worked.
In DA:O approval was approval, and you needed to reach a certain amount of it to progress in a romance as well as select romance dialogues. Sometimes this made sense, other times it didn't.
In DA2 approval was replaced by Friend/Rivalry, and you needed to reach a certain amount of it to progress in their story as well as select romance dialogues. Sometimes this made sense, other times it didn't.
But all DA2 really did differently was provide some unique content to players whose relationships with their companions was more contentious.
The <3 icons were present not so players could have easy access to I-Win buttons, but so players who were not interested in the romance could avoid triggering it. "Ninjamances" were and are a pretty common complaint that BioWare has tried a few things to address including the infamously blunt "I want you Thane" paraphrase in ME2.

It wouldn't be a problem, obviously. I was just wondering what kind of romance people would want that would be exclusively for a male Inquisitor.
Oh and derp, sorry I didn't know about that thread.

I have to say I found the <3 icons to be "I win" buttons for romance. Trying to work out what to say to Lelianna and Morigan in DA:O was some of the most fun I had with the game. With DA2 I just always picked the <3 whenever it presented itself for a character I wanted to romance and it led to success.
I think a better option would have been to have multiple <3 icons in a single conversation. For instance, you're chatting to some chick you are wanting to hook up with and as well as the usual "Friendly/Sarcastic/Angry" replys, on the other side of the wheel are three <3 icons. They read.
1 - I love you, you're the most amazing person I've ever met in my life, I was to spend the rest of my life with you.
2 - Hey, would you like to go out for dinner tonight, maybe catch a show up at the theatre in hightown?
3 - Hey baby, get your bewbs out, let's get it on.
Obviously, the character could respond very differently to three such lines but all of them fit the <3 icon. In DA2 whenever you picked it, psychic-Hawke always hit on the right line to say to the person. It took a lot of the roleplay and effort out of a romance and thus you got no sense of accomplishment/achievement for completing one successfully.

Unless you attempted to romance Varric and/or Aveline. They both had <3 icons available in their conversations, and neither of the attempts could be successful at all.

Yes, but either success or failure was an automatic conclusion. If you chose to play, you won or lost regardless of subsequent actions.
