I've got a good solid broadband connection, no connectivity issues.

I play for several hours a day, so many opportunities for auto-updating.

Looking at my profile, I see:

Statistics

Last updated 2009-12-16 21:40:30

Heck, I've got characters thad did a complete run through the game and haven't appeared on the online profile...

I know it can't be 'traffic issues' every time, unless the servers are woefully underpowered for the task. Given the many hours at all times of day or night when I could potentially connect / update, I have to assume something is simply broken (added to by the frequent in-game "cannot connect" messages).

Is there any official status on this?

Thanks...

You have it for PC. Have you enabled the developer console?

No one ever mentions this, but I've found, 100% without fail, that when I enable the dev console (by adjusting the launch properties of the .exe), my profile doesn't update. when i disable it, everything works again.

It is shot....very slow, works also of profile views in highest priority order.....and yes, having the dev console command in your shortcut will totally nerf the upload....

But even then, its still a little hit and miss, will be right when they finally get this place running well :)

Change a piece of equipment and do a manual (not quick) save. It should update that character (always works for me). I just can't be bothered with it anymore.

I wonder if the gnomes are busy tinkering with the profiles area now - I can't seem to access them at all Image IPB

I posted this a couple days ago for someone. Hope it helps you.

Make sure you're not automatically uploading screenshots, the option will be in the in-game options. Make sure you're logged in in-game, and it'll upload whatever character you play.

However, the site can only handle 100 total files from you, so if you happened to have "automatically upload screenshots" on for the majority of your playtime, your online storage will be full. In which case you go to your DA:O social page (accessible through the in-game options again), you can check how many files are uploaded for your account in Profile Diagnostics, and then you can go through your screenshots on this site and delete a bunch. Next character you play should be uploaded.

Mine wouldn't update for over a week... even when doing a manual save so I finally got irritated and went hands on about it:

Started up the game, loaded my last save... tabbed out, archived everything in the save folder to a .rar file and then nuked it all.

Tabbed back to my game, saved manually a single time and then exited. Voila, it updated a minute later on the site. I've done this a couple times since, it seems to me there might be some sort problem with updating and lots of manual saves or something.

I've found that by not automatically logging in to the server at the main menu (relog every time) that mine updates pretty regular

With people posting here (the Return to Ostagar Delayed thread) minute by minute, might not be helping the update situation any.

Hi, I was just wondering how do you delete your screenshots? I'm assuming you mean delete the screenshots which were automatically taken, in which case it says 'This is a Dragon Age
album and is not editable from the BioWare Community Network. If you
wish to add photos, please do so in the Dragon Age game.'
if I try to edit it.

At any rate I don't think my storage is full, diagnostics shows I have 16 screenshots uploaded and 29 files in total in the storage. But I think I should try to give it a go, since my characters don't really get updated.

If you go to your Player Profile Page, where you can see yoru characters, there is a button there "Manage Screenshots". You can delete screenshots from there, but its a one at a time kinda thing.

Just started playing the game yesterday. Almost 24 hours have gone by and still there's a lot of stuff that wasn't updated in the player profile yet. The idea of this site is great but uploading stuff is a piaan in the butt. For example, I've done the lockpick achievement (the first one) and the respective screenshot was taken. The achievement is already stated in my player profile but no screenshots were added...

That's what I don't get. The achievements upload for me everytime but my characters rarely do (once a week at best). Also some updates just simply never get there. I created a mage after finishing Lothering with my main character. He was level 3 but for the next month he showed up as level 1. I would think they would just send an update once per session (when exiting the game maybe) and then it would get in the system and be waiting in a queue for processing. They must be doing something dumb like trying to process everytime you save and they end up getting bombarded by constant updates.
Whatever they are doing they need to revisit it as it isn't working for many people. I gave up on it a long time ago. Will probably get a lot worse soon with Mass Effect 2 coming out. I assume they are doing the same thing with that. It's a shame as it was a nice idea.

Achievements are stored on a separate server, that's why they're so quick to update.

My profile hasn't been updated since the launch of the game, everything with the exception of achievements is still as it was on my first day of playing :S.

Same here...This is awfully annoying.
