You killed the geth. Again. Monster. The people demand Aegaeon and Ace romance options and male-female voice settings for all geth crew members

The geth are just too cool to be played in Singleplayer.

EDIT: In fact, the next geth character is going to have the designation 2C4SP.

EDIT2: Gee, that lasted long.

Next time I start talking about removing the geth, slap me in the face.

Strange... Every time I read 'Taraskali'. I think 'arachnid'.

I'm more interested in the Janavri, but all the new races are really interesting to me. I'm also terrified of what a female yahg would look and sound like.

I feel compelled to defy stereotypes, like I do in every game with race choices. Some of my first characters would likely include a stealthy and pacifistic yahg, a super-intelligent and scholarly vorcha, and a salarian with maxed-out Strength that solves all of his problems by knocking down walls.

Of course, it may be fun to create the most evil slave-owning and over-the-top batarian Praetor possible. The Actor background will help set that up.

Anything is possible.

Like a male but with bigger horns and Conchata Ferrell's voice.

You and me both, man.

Choices are so fun. Too bad EAware hates fun.

What did they do with all the reaper corpses? Did they start to indoctrinate people?

And it would be great to add some section on how the other powers that you introduced faced against the reapers, at least until the red beam of annihilation hit them around the galaxy.

They were all gathered and assembled into Reaper Land, the funnest place on Earth.

More seriously, without the Crucible's blast of Reaper destruction, surviving but destroyed Reapers would be a threat. A major side mission or threat in the main story could be some surviving Reaper intelligence that lives on in a preserved artifact, playing politics through indoctrinated pawns.

The Crucible was still used since it's a major (if not necessarily a good) plot point of ME3 prior to the endings. What I have chosen to ignore is its effects shown and told to us by the Catalyst.

If I had to establish some kind of canon regarding the Crucible, it would be that it is a Reaper-killing device that mildly damages the Citadel and the Relays when fired (due to the physical strain of containing and channeling such levels of energy), depleting its entire power supply in a single shot.

It's ready to fire as soon as it docks with the Catalyst (in this case, the very much non-living signal component of the Citadel, at the top of the Citadel Tower, that allows the station to communicate with and control the entire Relay network), removing the Shepard+Rubble=OTP conondrum from the equation. And every Reaper hit by its discharge becomes deader than dead.

To be honest, indoctrination was kind of abused as a plot device in ME1-ME3. I'd rather have it left out of Praetor altogether.

What kind of romances can you have, can they be something really weird like a yahg with a female kadeci or something (hrrrr...)

Hey, if you play as a yahg or kadeci that's going to be what appeals to you. With all the race choices, its safer to just have everyone, squadmates and crew, available as a romance.

Charcolt is on the right track.

Speaking of romances, they aren't going to be "Let's get naked after talking to each other three times and then fade to black". In Praetor you really have to work for them, and not just by picking the upper right corner.

Are there going to be any human squadmates on the Iapetus? A human Praetor is going to get pretty lonely.

For all intents and purposes, the human synthetic is human... just made artificially. The Alliance has become very noteworthy for maintaining a population of synthetics integrating seamlessly into human society. There's also the power engineer who is a meatbag human.

I don't know about you, but I got little tired of human characters in ME1-ME3. Half the cast were humans, and Mass Effect 3 took the Humans Are Special trope to a ridiculous new level. Praetor is the aliens (and synthetics) time to shine.

I can get that. Still, with every other race represented on the team, it's weird to see no humans, though I suppose most people would play at least once as a human Praetor.

Two vorcha is a bit much though.

Vaassk doesn't count, s/he is an easter egg squaddie.

Bump, a bunch of species updated. All playable species should have a physical description by now. Governments/military/econom/culture going up later.

Addition of the virtual aliens is pretty cool, especially as an independent power with the rest of the galaxy completely divided.

I don't know how recent the Keeper section is, but it's pretty cool that they're slowly regaining intelligence. The Leviathans are missing, but the galaxy at large may not be even aware of them. I doubt they could pose a significant threat, especially if the galaxy has put any work into countering indoctrination technology.

All of your original races are pretty awesome. What comes next? Do you plan on working on the alien governments, putting work into the characters and story, or maybe finishing up the racial bonuses and backgrounds for Praetor?

All in due time. I'm basically doing the concept work of an entire development team while trying to juggle my day-to-day priorities. And I don't get paid, either.

Oh well, the things we do for the things we love.

I'm not holding my breath, but any help is welcome. Hopefully I can find the time to develop my own skills to the point where I can make convincing concept art that doesn't look like the fridge-preserved magnum opus of a three-year old who's never held a crayon before.
