For you who have a hard time wrapping your head around how Dascians would look like without eyes, I've found the perfect image to demonstrate how I envisioned them, by ParamourGhost on DA.

Yeah i figured theyd look something like that.
Heres some visual aid on how my races would look:
This a is general idea, of how the shekhmu pretty much look, the males at least, minus the head tentacles, plus a mane of quills and different kind of ears.

The caitians from Star Trek Online also come close, as do the Khajiit of Skyrim
Also tolithians, when their mouths are open. They resemble black skeletons in hooded robes.

Djerro have no neck, their head is a furry "lump" and has 2 large eyes vertically, like this:

Moluve come in many colors and look a lot like this aquatic caterpillar, only much much larger. Elders can reach 10 meters.

Lhamannu of the Mulasaani Union resemble the prophets of Halo, well the overall posture at least, the face is more camel like, with 6 bony horns and 4 droopy ears. They like to use hover chairs like the prophets too and service robots, as they are pretty frail physically.

The capital city of Botswana is the capital of Earth in the 26th century?

For the record, traditional Earth governments ceased to exist since they were hit first in the invasion along with military bases and medical centers. After the war each continent became a new "Administration Province" with their own capital cities and province governments answering to the Alliance government in Gaborone.

The new story seems interesting, and allows for a number of interesting plotlines, though its going to be hell redoing all the characters and backgrounds.

Yes, Praetor's backstory is inspired by Mal Reynolds and the Battle of Mathos is inspired by the Battle of Serenity Valley.Charcolt wrote...
Read some of the changes on the main page. Is Praetor's backstory based on Mal Reynolds and the Battle of Serenity Valley in Firefly?

I am reinventing the way the backgrounds work to make them a natural part of the story progression instead of being variables you pick at the beginning and then have to somehow weave into the story. And in regards to the characters, I don't mind rewriting them if it is for the better.

I'm picturing the Free Systems as a more mixed region than the Concord or Empire (without or with fewer species-specific states and worlds, and including people of all races). Will Praetor ultimately decide which faction of the three comes out on top (or possibly even take everything in a New Vegas Wild Card-style ending)?

Retaking Earth was all about using the Crucible, BioWare just happened to move the Citadel to Earth just to justify using it as the location for the final battle.Charcolt wrote...
If the finale battle took place in Widow, did Shepard retake Earth at all? It would be a bit anti-climactic with all the buildup and then Shepard never even returns. Dean the Young recently wrote a storyline with the Conduit being moved to Earth by Cerberus, which would fit well with this. Was there any final boss battle?
Though I like Dean's idea.
A lot can change over the course of three games.Charcolt wrote...

Unfortunately with the heavy revisions about 85 % of the species, including many of mine and Volc19's have been cut out. This also includes many of the former powers, Mulasaani union, Iraclian federation, Kehenost imperium and Umerian confederacy and their respected species are all gone, as are about half of the species in the yahg empire, including dascians.
Shekhmu should still be there but im negotiating about them currently. Honor their memories people, as there was alot of work put into them.
I might put up a graveyard thread later for all the things that got cut, so Arcian and me will put them there for all to see who missed them.
