Vigil always gives me goosebumps.

The leaving Earth tune in ME3 is pretty heart-wrenching.

tbh....it blends in TOO well with everything else while playing...so it doesnt standout at all...rather...i CANT HEAR IT!!!

in the other ME games....especially the DLC from ME2....the music adds SOOOOO much to the scenes that without them....it wouldnt feel right.

For combat music my favourites were Tali (battle music on Haestrom), Jack (battle music on the Purgatory) and Overlord. Can't really recall any others off the top of my head.

For menu music such as waiting in lobbies I'd like to take Mars, Tali (not in combat) and Kasumi's. Maybe throw the Suicide Mission in there as well, cause why not.

"Prothean bacon" - err, I mean "beacon" from the ME3 soundtrack. Always misread it as "bacon". I love it because it's also used as Javik's theme. So it reminds me of him, instead of the terrible cringe-worthy mess that is Priority: Thessia.

Well OP, as much as I'd love to have this opportunity, I think I'd end up with the standard MP music most of the time.

Not because I don't think there are much better suited pieces in the ME soundtrack world, but because... You know, listening to them again and again and again... Takes away the magic.

Those outstanding pieces of art are meant to be played in certain moment of the one of the best (if not THE best) viedogame series I've ever played.
Playing them too much during MP would be a waste to me 

Anyway, I'll contribute to the topic by listing a couple of pieces that stand out even among the totally amazing soundtrack this series has, at least to me:

I have to say i'm split 3 ways on it. Vigil, the Presidium in ME1 and "I'm Proud of you" from ME3.

But that is a really hard choice still as all 3 games had wonderful tracks.

Definitely vote for M4 Part 2 (Credit song from the original Mass Effect). That song is incredible and so powerfully concludes the game. Love listening to the ME soundtrack when I play MP. If someone doesn't get chills listening to the first ME music, after emotionally investing themselves in the game, they aren't human.
