Nope from the trailer it looks like he is one of the main bad guys (don't think it is "The Architect" though, think he is on the awakening page on the official site)

I believe the guy in the trailer is the Architect, in fact. He is everything The Calling has described him to be. The other one on the webpage is likely one of his minions.Sir Ulrich Von Lichenstien wrote...

The darkspawn commander in this trailer looks like too much of an **** to be the architect. The mental image I got reading the books was of a timid, polite darkspawn - even if he was trying to kill everybody to achieve world peace
