It depends really, if I find their personality compelling enough I might, but I draw the line at Broodmother (no amount of personality can help me there).

I actually would, if the character would be interesting enough in terms of personality.

I think there's a difference between "ugly" and "not attracted to." For example, I'm not attracted to the alien races in ME but I will romance them. I'm not attracted to women, but I will romance them. I'm not attracted to Fenris, but he is actually my canon romance.
If I were physically repulsed by someone (found them ugly), however, romance would definitely be a no-go! lol

Hmm. When I read a book- I'm definitely guilty of reviewing said book with the caveat that the characters were "ugly". It isn't as if I'm totally against "ugliness". I despise it when authors beat me over the head with "she was ugly, her eyes were **** brown, oh hey dear reader SHE'S UGLY" repeatedly in the book. If a character in a game were also so blatant about how unattractive they are- that would also again be a huge turnoff (in my fake fourth wall artificial attraction section of the brain yo).
Sooo what I'm saying is- moderate confidence is necessary, please be arranged in some semblance of some kind of symmetry and give me your winning personality and we'll see where it goes little darling.

Yes, probably. When it comes to in-game romances I'm not very picky. Romancing an ugly character might even be refreshing.
If I liked the character I'd definitely romance him even if he was ugly.

Absolutely. Some of you Skyrim players are probably familiar with the mod "Interesting NPCs," and it adds a character named Zorah Fair-Child. She's got numerous scars across her face, including a nasty handprint from her pissed off sister. Despite this, her dialogue and interactons are so well done that I don't care if she's more beat up than the Joker.
