I would rather romance a Venemous Spider with Isabela's VA than the most gorgeous woman in the world who talks like Isolde. :/

(I usually romance dudes, but there really is no male equivalent to that level of annoyance and turn-offedness)

If we're just talking about normal people being unattractive, well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people think the new elf designs are "ugly," but I think some of them came out quite well. It also depends on what you focus on as a feature to find attractive. Half of the reason I like Fenris so much is because of the voice. I think my jaw actually dropped the first time I heard him speak.

I'm shallow. That said, I'm also weird. If they're not human, than yes. Like, Shale-style and demon stuff and trolls, skeletons (skulls are sexay!!), etc bring it on. It's a beauty and the beast type of deal k?

And Garrus doesn't count cause I find turian physical appearance really hot. Garrus is hotter than the human guys/girls to me. Just not hotter than my Shepard whom I have a crush on lol.

In ME I'd go for Zaeed before going for Kaidan or Jacob, anyday. Hell I'd go for any krogan before those humans.

In DA I'd go for Sten. Or that fugly stupid elf with the horrible nose you can seduce at the dalish camp, lol.. no he's silly AND his nose is bigger than mine, so no thanks, ew

No deal for "Randomized Character Creator Ugly" though.

Fenris is not really my cup of tea look wise but when he starts to speak he really makes an impact. I have to admit out of all the companions in DA2, Varric would have been the one for me!

That depends on the character I've created... my character doesn't necessarily have to think as I do, so while *I* may enjoy a hypothetical situation involving robots with huge drills, some characters created by me may candidly decline.

Looks isn't everything, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If he or she is interesting enough and I like who they are I would romance them even if they look like a cave troll... well, um... yeah!

Yesssss...! Varric is not attractive (looks). In real life he is the ugly dde who still pulls all the hot chicks because he is so fracking cool and funny.

Posters on these forums have already celebrated or supported romances with eldritch abominations, masked aliens, old witches, robots, incest with the PC's siblings and romances between their own PCs (they want the Inquisitor to romance their custom Hawke or Warden, for example).

At this point, I doubt ugliness would be a turn-off.

Hate to break this to you, but some people DO consider Alistair to be a whiny, lying, twit and are all too happy to order him to his death. This doesn't apply to me, but there you go. Every follower has his or her detractors.

I could even find Corypheus attractive if he'd been a hopeless romantic for my character.
You can even give me a hopeless romantic abomination or Architect or....BroodFather?
To be honest I liked the Architect...a lot....what?
I first romanced Anders and then Fenris. but Fenris.......that sexy beast is damn HAWT! he has a sense of dominance that I find so attractive in men.
And Garrus is not at any rate ugly! he's so damn HOT! I wanted to jump the bugger many times.

Well, no, because broodmothers aren't designed to be ugly. They're designed to be repulsive and horrifying. It's not quite the same thing.

(people's opinions tend to vary drastically when it comes to what's considered ugly -take Miranda from ME for example,most people consider her to be good looking but there are also people who think she's the ugliest character ever created. She's also a good example of how voice actors and personality affect how attractive the player considers the character to be)

I would definitely romance an ugly character. When choosing a romance I only care about how that characters personality fits with the character I'm playing. But (in the spirit of roleplaying) I might also have a superficial character not romancing that NPC because of their bad looks.
