Of course this post is nothing new. :D I have already read the sticky and the solution did not work for me. This is a fresh install, attempted re-installing and I've never touched / installed the toolset. :(

Locations:   C:\\BioWare\\Dragon Age
C:\\Users\\Administrator\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age

Any help would be great. Also note there is no "modules" folder within C:\\Users\\Administrator\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age

Let's try to make it simple.

Rename

C:/Users/Administrator/Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age

to

C:/Users/Administrator/Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age Backup

Launch the game (your profile, savegame, eventual DLC won't be there), but you just want to check if the game is working normally by trying a new character.

Close the Game

A newly C:/Users/Administrator/Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age has now been automatically created by the game.

if the test worked, then copy  from the "Dragon Age "backup folder to the newly created one the following folders:
Characters
Settings

Launch the game and you should find back your profile and savegames.

If you have DLC you will need reinstall them (because screwed up DLC folders might break your game)

Thanks for the reply! Sadly, that didn't work for me.

I actually haven't created a character yet. :(

Before you reinstalled the game, have you:

- Uninstalled the game.
- Check that the game folder was gone for good (no left over)

BTW is this a problem that appears suddenly, or have you never been able to play the game since you got it ?

I had to format my PC so I backed up my saves and thought I could just re-install the game and put my backup where they were before the format. But no, I get the same error message. I've played alot of games and I never had this much problems with backups. I was about to finish DA, only an hour or so left :/ Just like the OP says, never touched the toolkit or played with scripts and modules. I don't even know how they work :P

hey, i just got the ultimate pack thingy that came with all of the games and whatnot. but when i try to load darkspawn chronicles or leliana's song it says unable to load module. now, i havn't touched or dled the toolset either and just for the hell of it i tried what was mentioned above but it didn't do anything for me what so ever. any other ideas?

i also read the sticky as well and it didn't obviously do anythin for me either...
and all the other stuff that i know of works just fine. i'm able to load origins, golem and awakenin and i'm pretty sure any and all items are present or will be present and i have barely started my first pc character cause i also got this game on my ps3 and am currently finishin up a character on awakenin atm...so...not sure about like shale or return to ostagar or soldiers peak...i think that's everythin...i think..
