Walking Dead was amazing. Honestly, Walking Dead should have been up as an RPG. You are playing the role of Lee and there isn't enough action to justify it being anything else. Maybe a puzzler? I'd class it as an RPG. You don't need to have equipment and stats to be an RPG, just playing a part in a story and shaping its development is enough.

Anyway, glad Mass Effect 3 didn't claim the award. A shame it got RPG of the year, but oh well. Some part of me feels like it deserves it, but then the rest of me is saddened by the mess of an ending that detracts from the worthiness of the journey.

Lets get one thing straight. Mass Effect 3, in spite of its flaws (which are numerous), it's still a very good game. You combine that with the fact that we're dealing with an industry thats struggling to innovate and get past the Call of Duty mold and it's a no brainer for RPG of the year. .

ME3 a very  good game? Ok. A good RPG? HELL NO. This award is an insult for all those true RPG's and for the whole video game industry. ME3 was going to be an excellent shooter with great story where your decisions matter, instead we got a shooter with awful writting, just like many other shooters.

Yes, femshep and broshep play MP together all the time. Also femshep got the biggest N7 rating.
