If there was an "Action-RPG" category, where ME3 belongs and would've faced much more competition this year, methinks things would've gone a bit differently.

I can't watch those videos. Five seconds in and it seems like he is so nervous and doesn't want to be there. Just can't watch that kind of awkwardness.

Lets get one thing straight. Mass Effect 3, in spite of its flaws (which are numerous), it's still a very good game. You combine that with the fact that we're dealing with an industry thats struggling to innovate and get past the Call of Duty mold and it's a no brainer for RPG of the year. .

It deserved to win RPG of the year. Though I agree not GOTY, my GOTY for this year was actually XCOM but that didn't win such unfortuantly either but atleast won best PC game though should of been best strategy game of the year. Though I will also admit the tears of the anti-ME3 crowd are filling up my swimming pool quite nicely.

Mostly dungeon crawlers, ports of previously solid RPGs, and a few noteworthy action-RPGs that ride the line too closely to be considered, I suppose.

Ah the good old "It's only the VGAs" or "It's only the <insert website or event you dislike because do not agree with>".

How's that "had no competition.." working out for you? Your new safety/snuggle blanket, a tissue to wipe away those tears. Does it make you warm and fuzzy inside using that random justification/excuse? What comes across to me as your in that "well... well... erm.. <insert excuse>" phase to hide your discontent.

It deserved to win RPG of the year because was best RPG of the year, no RPG of the past entire year was better than what Bioware created no matter which went up against during that period even if some did not get nominated it was because they were not good enough to be so.

Need more of my favorite excuse from anti-ME3 crowd, the "EA bought the VGA's" type excuses.

Since when was ME3 an RPG?....it allowed for action mode for crying out loud.....they won the award because of lack of competition so basically there the best of the worst......Dragons dogma was way more of an RPG.....

Did it really? Wow... VGAs really are a joke.. Black Ops 2's campaign felt like more of an RPG than Mass Effect 3.. sad but true.

Really dude, your making that much a deal over this. The other nominees are good games but I wouldn't consider them RPGs, compared to ME3 its the only RPG there.

Not enough people agreed with you to stop it winning. They could of all combined and voted for something else out of spite if enough people did agree, knowing this fanbase that is something that people would do on here. But they didn't and if they did they did not succeed.
