Never mastered Nova cancelling. I really should play a few silver games to learn it, but I always loved my AV more anyway.

No, I just don't play it because the class is completely dysfunctional. Play off-host and charge won't work. Play as host and charge decides not to work along with your weapon. That is, if you're lucky enough to get your lobby filled.

I mostly don't care about latency, but the fact that Nova comes out extremely slow off host really screws with the damage output of both this and the Slayer.

Really been toying around with Novaguard on Plat and 95% of the time it was offhost. I usually bring my Medigel Transmitter V as a boon to my team if things go south. You can't run around expecting to be Superman, while nice in theory - something will always stop you. instead focus in keeping your team clear from Phantoms, Hunters, Dragoons, Bombers and whatnot while detonating any primer around you so they can happily blast away at the bosses without being disrupted by herassment.

Human Vanguard is my most favorite class since the beginning and I am still using it.
You have to know how to play vanguard. I don't want to be braggy but I can charge insta-kill monsters without problems. Of course I am not awesome and sometimes it just happens that banshee grabs and pierces me but that happens rarely.
I'm using Disciple X and I looove when I charge something and then shoot it mid-air :-)

I haven't used vanguards in a while, mainly cause I stick with the more recent classes, only vanguard I ever used a lot was kroguard.......I don't know what nova-cancel etc is either so......

I am not really sure either but I am assuming that they mean when you use Nova, you immediately roll to the side so the Nova isn't cast and you don't receive any dmg.
At least that's what happened to me several times.

Edit: against Collectors, alone, you can have some problems... But 4 novaguards can easily handle any enemy in the game, Collectors included.

I don't play Novaguard anymore because most public games are lagging by now and I don't host because filling a lobby takes forever.

Eh. Nova cancelling is interesting, but i'd rather just play a better class of vanguards. They may make for better team players than other vanguards, but solo ...eh. Thanks for the link, though.

Yes it works on any platform. You're completely immune to damage in that window, but not to sync-kills. Beware.

Nova cancel gives invulnerability frames not damage reduction. Similar to when you're doing a grab etc.

Because they can't slide like my Broguard or give you the satisfaction of melee as a Kroguard...

i'm too scared to try using him on gold. i rarely bother to host, but if i do, i still use him on silver matches every now and then. Prefer the Drellguard nowadays. Trying to become competent on the Slayer. I dont play Kroguard much because its too easy
