Oh, BTW, in ME2 SHEPHERD IS DEAD. That's what they said/implied in a trailer for ME2 many months ago.

Wouldn't showing various [and possibly conflicting] options in the trailer just confuse people who never played the original game? I wouldn't read too much into what you see in terms of what's going to happen exactly in YOUR GAME, but a collection of short clips of potential in-game moments to show off the game. I'm sure that some of us won't experience some of the scenes shown in the trailer in some playthroughs dependent on choices in both the original and the expansion.



If you can import your character I'm sure atleast some of your choices affect the storyline. It would be crazy if they let you import your character but force a canon plotline on them. If that was the case you might aswell just start a new character right?

Alistair is alive and king and no its not some alternate possibility, regardless of what you did in DA:O. Any person who agreed with Anora and had Alistair executed is wrong. I was going quote the Bioware post but naw I figured I'd respond to this directly..you know no more information then us about this. It is very possiblie they have different starts and endings. I know for example you have at least two different starts. As a human Noble when you enter as a Noble and your family is killed

or you enter the fade as a mage and escape with a Blood Mage. That clip is 1:38 minutes long and unless you yourself work for Bioware and telling us the new content you have as much information as we do. We didn't know untill it was confirmed earlier today there even "was" an expansion confirmed.

Now there is we are throwing wild thoughts to how its "just one way" I admit, I jumped on this too but I am content in knowing that part of the video showed just one side and didn't give anymore information then that.

I was about to say the same thing with the same scarcasim. You only showed ONE path just like you did in the Origins video. Some peeps just get blinded with what they THINK they see as opposed to what it is.

Well the typical MO around these parts is:

Step 1: Conjecture.

Step 2: Demand Bioware prove that their conjecture is false. Lack of denial = confirmation.

Step 3: Panic! And spread the panic!



While I get the desire for information, there's very little we can say at this point until more announcements are made. That said, assuming your worst fears are true is just as misguided as assuming that the entire expansion story caters to your particular ending. Neither is really the case, and when we get to the point where we can answer all these questions you will be free to approve or be vastly disappointed with us in turn -- as you like.

Meanwhile, I know it's fun to panic. Everyone do it!  *runs around with arms waving*

Hell, the possibility of a new Grey Warden from Orlais pretty much ensures they have the "sacrifice" ending accounted for. I'm sure there's other opportunities to realize your personal endings.

I rather like the Panic, people get so wrapped up about a game that is three months away then you know they are truely enjoying the fruits of your labor, and spending their time online here eagerly waiting on the edge of their seat for signs of new content.

I admit, when the video clip came out. I was the one that posted the thread about the expansion before Bioware uodated their page and right away from 8:00, it spread like wildfire. However we have alot of passion for this game. We truely like spending time on it, and let's be honest with ourselfs.

When we start to panic about an expansion three months away as if it were on sale tomorrow. Then you must be honest with yourself that you are hooked on this game. Which is nothing to be shamed off. I'm very excited a game with moral choices/directions would top the charts so that more games can be made in a similar way.

This is changing way of video games with moral choices, in a good way. I have for first time, not bought a 15 warcraft card. Because I am so deeply interested in Dragon Age Orgins. Their content compared to the stale/boring/ warcraft is amazing. It makes me truely apperciate the graphics/game play etc. Good work.

Lazy bums. I mean, there's only several thousand possible outcomes. If you cram a few dozen into every second, it should work out.

Criminy 4 pages of posts all agog about 1 trailer as if it was clad in Veridium or something. Take some pills..........calm down..........and just enjoy the trailer. The game will be what it is when (and I use that term loosely) it comes out. I will pre order it and hope my many different characters all have some place in it.
