Just got the game on PS3 but I played the hell out of it on 360.

Am I remembering things wrong? I was positive that every ability tied to an achievement could be used as a bonus power (AI Hacking/Sabotage/Overload/Singularity/etc.) but when I go to create a character, all that comes up are weapons and 2 abilities.

For example, if I pick Adept, it's shotguns/AR/SR/electronics/decryption

No, I don't think you're misremembering. All the weapon and ability achievements should give you a bonus talent. Firstly have you checked your achievements to make sure you have got the required kills/uses for each of the bonus talents you're expecting? Secondly, are you bearing in mind that only talents that your class doesn't have will show up as a bonus talents - a Soldier should not expect to see Assault Rifles, an Adept won't see Singularity and so on - which depopulates the list a bit and means that some classes end up with a greater choice of bonus talents than others..

I've got all the achievements in ME1. This is what you should be seeing:

Adept: I get the three weapons and two tech abilities you mention in your example, plus Damping, Hacking, First Aid and Medicine.

Engineer: the three weapons plus Lift, Throw, Warp, Singularity, Barrier and Stasis.

Soldier: Lift, Throw, Warp, Singularity, Barrier, Stasis, Damping, Hacking, Electronics, Decryption, Medicine

Infiltrator: Shotguns, Assault Rifles, Lift, Throw, Warp, Singularity, Barrier, Stasis, Hacking, Medicine

Sentinel: Shotguns, Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Warp, Singularity, Damping, Hacking

Vanguard: Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Singularity, Stasis, Damping, Hacking, Electronics, Decryption, First Aid, Medicine

1. First you need to unlock the trophy for the talent to be available on the bonus talent screen when you create a new character.
2. The class you are playing as must not have the talent already. You can't have two singularitys on adept or double assault rifle training on soldier.

One thing to be careful with when taking a bonus talent is to watch out for the power wheel bug. Adepts and sentinels that take something besides a weapon talent can have their bonus power fall off of the power wheel, this can be bypassed by mapping it to your power use hot key. I don't know if this is the case on the ps3 but it was true in both the 360 and pc versions.

Yeah I have the trophies..

I don't mean to be rude but I'm not an idiot. Obviously Assault Rifles wouldn't be a bonus talent for Soldiers.. That's just common sense

It only lists 5 abilities max for any other class. Damping, Hacking and First Aid do not show up for any class. Singularity only shows up for Vanguards and Soliders, not Engineer/Infiltrator

I wasn't assuming you're an idiot but since you didn't say you'd got the achievements or that you knew/remembered that the list is class appropriate rather than general in the OP I asked, and in no way impolitely AFAICS. It was just getting all the info, no more no less, and "Yes" was all you needed to say. Would say your reply isn't even remotely rude compared to the competitive 24 hour swearathons on other places I hang out online.

Back on the issue, since you're only getting five max in all classes when it should be between 7 and 11 you may want to take the issue over EA Support or to the tech support forums at Answers HQ http://answers.ea.co...-p/mass-effect. For reasons best known to EA or the powers that be round here all the tech support on these boards got shut down.
