Hello N7 folks, hope everyone is having a good day or evening.

With Mass effect 4 in pre-production, I figured it would be a good idea to see if the community would want to come together to pool in suggestions for Bioware in Mass effect 4 multiplayer. They already delivered a pretty solid multiplayer with what we currently have, but of course the need to go bigger, and better is always there.

Bioware wants to please the community with a good product, while some may disagree. I think its more beneficial to us to show bioware what we, The community, think would help with the next multiplayer. So to you the community, lets work together to show Bioware what we would like to see in the next Mass effect multiplayer.

All I ask of the community is to not flame anyone and keep things consturctive. Aka - Don't act like the sterotypical BSN

No thank you.  Split screen requires so many performance concessions to make work on the current gen of consoles.

I think it would be awesome to let me build my own character, but restrict things based on both class and species.

So say, only Adepts could get Singularity, only Soldiers could get Adrenaline Rush, etc.

and then have racial abilities, so only Asari/Volus could get Stasis, Quarians could get Sabotage, etc. I imagine you'd want to add a decent number of new abilities, but I'm figuring that's going to happen regardless in ME4.

It would make each species unique, and assuming the powers are all powerful, it would give every species something that is sought after.

Also more customization, including armour sets.

The only thing i'd like to see changed is the ability to make your own character for multiplayer. Pick your powers, upgrade him, etc. There would still be normal kits, but you'd always be adding slight improvements to your "main" kit. He'd be capable of undertaking more difficult challenges than the stock characters.

Also, as you maxed stock characters, their powers would become available to your "main" kit. Same goes with race. You max all of the 1 type of race, you get access to that race for your main. Max a weapon challenge with kits, get access to the weapon. Seems like it would add a lot of life to MP.

Ability to change my points allocation on the fly without the need for respec cards. There are a lot of ways to build a character, but I'm stuck with one at a time. Or maybe I want to try out a different build... well if I don't like how it turned out, I need to waste another respec card to change back. This discourages experimentation or ability to custom a class depending on what team you roll with or what enemy you face.

People have addressed classes already, but how about appearance? I'd like to see more custom colours, and I'd like to see it so we can colourise our ENTIRE character (unlike now where some classes have some stuff be permanently black, for example).

This is what I hoped ME3's MP would be. It's a great template for future games.

They certainly need to implement "unmatchable" pairs like Bio Charge + AF or Inferno Grenade + Havoc Strike. It would be cool, but too powerful

bf touch, huge maps, vehicles, different calses with pros and cons, for example: turian - sniper, salarian - medic, krogan - heavy gunner, drell/asari - spec-ops, human/vorch - support gunner, batarian - assault, quarian/geth - mechanic. hmm did i forgot someone? ehh elcor, hanar and volus. duno, volus could be spec-op too. elcor he can be a vehicle maybe tank . hanar, tough one, no idea oh and protheans, assault i guess. BUT most important more game modes, DM, TDM, maybe mode where you play as reapers/geths/cerberus/collectors,

I commented this on th poll so may as well put it here:

I'd like to add some mode with story missions, with swtor conversation system. So we would have some kind of wave mode and the story mode.

Maybe make a shepard like characters, choose gender, species and choosing from powers what your character will have. The closest example to hte idea I can give is the human and the battlefield soldier. You could choose when creating your character if having concussive shot or carnage.

I'd leave passive powers as if, and maybe choosing one ammo type we can develop as a power. If we want ot use another consumables.

I think full armor customization should be an option, however I also think that trying to do a full customization like we do with the current single player. May be a bit too much for so many races. So the long run may be easier to do maybe...three or four different armor sets that benefit certain play styles.

Set 1 - Focuses on weapon users
Set 2 - Focuses on power users
Set 3 - Focuses on melee attackers
Set 4 - Focuses on survival (aka shields and health)

This, as well as no PvP.
And armour customisation that gives you different bonuses, like in SP.

Definitely no PvP. There are enough MPs that focus solely on PvP. I'd rather Mass Effect stick to co-op.

I think if they had somewhat of a create a class from cod or something. Like you choose your species of character, then class type, then from a list of abilities/powers they give you, choose 3 (or more?) then guns and equipment etc.

One of my biggest wish is an expansion of the UI and more customization of it.

I like abilities like Bloodlust, Hunter Mode, Devastator mode but the UI representation is horrid. Bloodlust pretty much overlaps the UI's warning for near death (the red screen) and just the overall amount of detail these abilities have on the screen is too distracting. I would much prefer their detail toned down and an indicator placed in one of the corners letting you know if its on or off.

I also wouldn't mind timers for abilities with durations. Annihilation Field being a big one, even if they fixed the animation, I would much rather have the option of looking down and seeing how much time I have left or whether its active or not. The same goes for Dark Channel. Knowing when abilities that can't be spammed are active and when they aren't would definitely be nice.

I would definitely like to see armor customization being available too. I wouldn't mind if it was only cosmetic, the ability to slap on unique armors would definitely be nice especially if I could customize them with colors, patterns and what not. Whether or not its changeable by pieces or entire suits it would be welcomed.

Or you could just live w/ it to level 20 then promote.........................

I definitely would like to see more multiplayer modes.  I definitely want the co-op part to be the biggest part and the most focused on by BW but other smaller components would be nice. Things like capture the flag, king of the mountain, those sorts of things might be fun if implimented correctly. 

The one thing I would hate to see is them do what L4D2 did and make it so you pvp'd and one group played the enemies (undead for L4D2) and the other group played the heroes (survivors for L4D2) thats just something I really don't want to see.

Could they bring in pvp... maybe but I highly doubt they could and it be lore friendly unless they really change the way the lore of ME 4 (maybe the heroes are part of mercinary groups that is fighting against the scourge of the universe) though if they went that route it might be there jumping of the shark moment.

No PVP!
But other game modes would be welcome. Mini story modes, or random boss (thresher maw, gunship, ect) attacks, larger battle zones. With room for more players, and of course... Better servers!

Ok in multiplayer would be awesome with vehicles were brought to the playing field. mass destruction is needed. also if they would make role objectives like engineers need to hack, adept/vanguard would protect, sentinel would tank, solider would be on line, infiltrators kill specific identified enemy or such.
Maybe online troops could play with the main character instead of AI online maybe? More species, races, and genders would be nice as well. I dont know Im just throwing ideas out.
