I also played with another player who has an N7 of only 285 but he was not very good.
From this, I have concluded that N7 indicates skill level. N7 matters, The higher your N7, the better player you are. Fact.
UPDATE: Just met the #6 player in the world with an N7 of 22,356:


After playing with this guy, I have confirmed the original theory because this guy was exactly 1.272106520996927 times better than that other #12 ranked player
The conclusion I have reached is relative rank doesnt matter, he is not twice as good as the #12 player just because he is #6, what matters is the N7 number, he was exactly that above number 1.272106520996927 times better. I even used multiple measuring utensils to make sure.
