I don't leave a lobby just because someone is playing a certain race or class. I do worry that the human vanguard may run off and solo, but some players don't play them that way, so I just wait and see what happens and go with the flow. Obviously I'm not going to run across the map to revive someone who is being reckless and dying over and over. But if they're close and they die, I revive them like anyone else.

I don't mind a class, I mind the person using the class and their setup... depending on the difficulty level, I won't kick, I leave.

You assume to much. I've seen way too many counterexamples to all your "prejudices". Perhaps you're just too quick to judge and haven't had enough experience or a wide enough sample.

I agree, Ive seen Demolishers be the backup on all 4 shutdowns.  But I do have to admit that when I see a Vangard in the lobby I assume that he/she will jump in front of your killzone & steal your target all the while hollering "Cut it out!".   I will stay though. .......Suppose thats my prejudice.

camping outside the map with a sniper rifle and unlimited ammo from pylon... never coming down.

I have prejudices against Volus Adepts, Demolishers, Shadows, Phoenixes, Slayers and Novaguards.

I can understand understand the others, but why phoenixes?

Depending on load out; I get warnings bells from:

Vanguards + shadow - high risk of non-team play, messing up spawns, dying in odd places
Volus - low DPS, unless played well
Ghost/havoc - no grenades for DPS grenadiers

Otherwise it's mostly kit/weapon/consumable combinations, and not kits specifically.

Phoenixes bc they have to get close to smash, which leads to alot of them dying. Lash is borderline useless... a power to troll your team.

I'm new to the game and haven't got a harrier so far. What's the matter with it?

And btw with all this "assuming" in this thread, why doesn't anyone make a joke about direct control :(?

Some people are under the misguided belief that they will get outscored with anyone with a harrier. If you suck as a player, then they propably have a point. The Harrier does nice damage, but it runs out of ammo quickly and is very bugged when your in hard cover. I personally don't use it much for these reasons.

I jumped into a PUG as a T.Soldier with an incisor sniper. There were 2 with Harriers. I scored more then the other 3 players combined. The Harrier is like any other weapon in random PUG hands. If they can't use it, then it doesn't matter what they are using. Never assume anyhting in a PUG. Having a Harrier DOES NOT mean they will score well.

Why is everybody so up in arms about Lash?  Lash has very short cooldown and it can stagger Phantoms on demand.  It can also detonate BEs and it's good against mooks.  That's more than can be said about Pull.

Speaking of Pull. I used to hate Pull, but combined with an Acolyte it is actually not such a bad power to have around. Short cooldown, primes for a detonation with Reave, what more do you want?

It`s not the character, but equipment & loadouts.

I won`t expect anything decent out of player who presses ready button first with out any equipments + less than lvl 15 character equipped with avenger, locust, phaeston and such.

It's really annoying as a sniper rifle damage-specc'd infiltrator trying to headshot something when the Shadow (or biotic respectively) in your group decides to 'shadow' you and spams Electric Slash (or shockwave) right next to you and causes your screen to constantly shake.

Just for kicks I trolled a friend doing that with my Paladin. Every time they tried to line up a shot I would Snap freeze infront of them just so they couldnt see. Was funny as heck.

I don't trust furries either.

Most of em are actually ok peeps.
It's the really fanatic ones who have lost their grip on reality that give em a pretty bad name.
After all disney has been trying to turn the entire populace of the world into furries for years now.

BELIEVE ME!! I SPEAK THE TRUTH!!

I love playing a fury and being with a good group. Especially biotic death squads, I will run for every objective, except this weekend I am going a little guardian crazy.

I only thing that bothers me is a selfish vanguard.

No prejudice for me, class doesn't mean much until you see them play. Despite the high learning curve for the Drell classes, Phoenix characters, Novaguards, I've played with a lot of exceptional users of said classes.

As long as they have gear and are level 20, It cares not for class.

All classes are welcome into this one's company.

I don't have any prejudices when it comes to classes as long as come well prepared, not just some random asari valkyrie with no gear, using a locust I in my team on gold.

Would never ragequit, but the Battlefield 3 soldiers and Novaguards seem to be favoured by players who exhibit "dick behaviour" in my experience.

Every class in the game is usable, and in the right hands can be useful.
For bronze in silver, I honestly don't care what characters or load-outs people use. For Gold and Platinum, I tend to be a bit more picky, but as long as it's a viable setup I assume the best until proven otherwise.
I regularly make stop scorer on random Gold/Platinum matches using several of these classes, and I've never had someone complain about me not helping with objectives.

Vanguards and Krogan annoy me; I don't doubt their abilities, but I'm so sick of them swooping in and taking all the kills. I appreciate they need to charge or melee to survive, but that doesn't synergise well with teams, and I'd appreciate it if they kept their charging around to the other side of the map. Isn't it amazing how they only seem to do that during objective rounds?

I have to admit I haven't had good experiences with Volus characters, only played maybe 2-3 games where they were playing really well.

The rest is that thing where they follow random players around and just shield boost.

I absolutely hate that.

The one thing that i don't understand is low number of double shadow strike N7 Shadow's. I have one like this, Shadow Strike on enemy if it's hot retreat while still clocked if not another shadow strike... Most of games i die once of twice using this tactic.... It so easy a yet it more common to see Shadow with Widow.... What the hell Widow is doing on Shadow?!?!

This is the same basic principle as race prejudice, orientation prejudice, gender prejudice, etc. Taking a few bad examples and generalizing to a whole group of people.

Sure, a multiplayer videogame isn't as serious a venue to do it in, but you might want to self-examine the way you judge people.

Stereotypes are based on reality. Image IPB

they are based on a minoraty sampling and then unjustly used to judge the whole population
