Build threads, buff / nerf threads, gameplay threads etc etc. Those threads usually get to skill at some point. I.e how it matters or doesn't matter. LR2Play for example is an answer that gets thrown around a lot.
But when skill becomes a talk topic it degenerates the topic into a ball of rage.

You should change the title to, "You suck and I don't."

I was more refering to the "were" instead of "we're", but if you say so

I did not exclude myself from being a player not good enough did I?
If I was playing a level 1 character on Gold and had 3 "decent" teammates we wouldn't be able to hold the extraction most of the times, simply because the team composition of players weren't good enough.
If I am playing with a team where we have at least 2 good players and 2 decent players then we can easily hold the extraction basically every time on Gold. So I did not exclude myself from my statement since it is about team skill.

My favourite LZ is most likely Dagger or Giant, both provide fair cover if you can hold both PoEs.

Also don't forget, this game is about the team. If your attempt to be a big man/woman holding the LZ for two minutes makes things difficult for your teammates, you aren't being a good player or a good teammate.
A good player doesn't put himself/herself into situations where he/she may fail.

In reality it is something like this:
1. If your team decides to hold the LZ even though they can't, then you should be smart enough to just stay away from the LZ and let your teammates die
2. If your team is good enough to hold the LZ, then the guy who stays on the other side of the map compromise the whole team since the fourth player would make all the difference between success and failure
Usually during the first 10 waves of the match you get a sense of your teammates capabilities, and if you deem them good enough then you should go to the extraction with the full team. If you deem them not good enough then it is every man for himself.
You can only make things difficult for your teammates if the team is actually good. You know what I'm saying?

Good player or not, the practice of camping at and having every enemy on the map converge on the LZ is daft. At best you'll be in a firefight that you didn't need to be in, and at worst you'll get swarmed and wiped out.
I take it you don't like to mow down enemy after enemy after enemy after enemy? I like it though, it is a lot of fun
And I have only one thing to ask about your statement that "at the best you'll be in a firefight that you didn't need to be in" and that question is; why even play this game at all? Because if you play it you will be in a lot of firefights that you didn't need to be in if you didn't play the game

I agree on watching your teammates ingame to make a plan as to what you will do.By the end of wave 10 I know what I'm doing and they may not like it.Its better for 1 to extract than all to fail.

I don't see this happen much on gold/plat, but people tend to get their **** ****ed on silver though. I really don't get how you could play this game a few times, realize how the waves work, and still sit and try to hold one position for 2 minutes.
I agree, you should only do it if you actually know that you can do it!
