What do you think of Bannerless players joining Gold/Plat at this point?

You're making a judgement based on feelings about something which in that situation lacked the expected stimuli. Whatever works for you.
You say as if nobody judges nothing in game lobby before the game starts.
Everybody is judging other players in the lobby one way or other. That`s why you hear so many stories of kicking and being kicked.

Something to keep in mind: Some players are humble and don't prescribe the e-peen mentality. Some of us choose to not use banners because we don't want to stand out. This may be a European vs. American mindset, but keep in mind, not everyone likes waving a giant flag to draw attention to their e-peen.
But now I know you care about epeen because you are trying to show us how little you care... Must be small or something

Let them get their banners at their own pace.

Honestly the only thing I pay attention to anymore is if they are using consumables. And as long as at least 1 other person in the lobby has all 4 slots filled I'm happy. I stopped caring about N7 rating long ago and after grinding my first banner...tech mastery...i stopped caring about banners too.
That`s same for me.
Being bannerless don`t mean much.
It just tells me either you are new or you don`t care about banner(or the game).
Sometimes either one of these can be bad thing. Not that I care very much.. but it still affects the way I think a little.
Wearing Corsair banner/Loyalist/Holloween banner wouldn`t hurt.

In Gold/Plat PuG. Sure why not. It`s been that way for 9 months now.

I find mine gets turned off every so often, not sure why. Usually I don't notice until I'm in a lobby and by then it's too much of a hassle to quit back out just to turn one on. To be honest, I think most of them are eyesores.

Yes, everybody knows that.
I am talking about players who don`t choose not to wear banner, but simply having no banner due to the lack of experience/time spent.
Which is completely fine, except that they are trying to play Gold/Plat.
Actually, this is fine too because I don`t care that much how one performs in the game.
but many bannerless players end up doing bad in Gold/Plat game.
I am not going to dicriminate them for it, but it will tell me I should gear up before the game starts even if they have fairly good equipments..
(because you had 2 months to get banner)
Have you not read any of the thousand comments pointing out that anyone can achieve banners through grinding rather than skill? Everyone has a banner at this point. Unless you're willing to ALT-TAB and look up their manifest while they wait in the lobby, you'll just have to resort to the old method of looking at their kit and loadout.

That said, while i initially didn't care about challenges at all and thought i'd continue bannerless, i started thinking that a banner could avoid problems with people judging others through their banners.
So now i display a banner.

The guy with the most challenge points in PS3 has no banner and he is very good, I don't understand that thinking.
This. Knockingbr4in is an amazing player and didn't have a banner the last time I played with him.

I am not trying to make connection between Banner and player`s skill.
According to what you tell me, at least having a banner tells me that players knows enough to Grind for it.
If a player doesn`t wear one, it does not mean the player is lack of skill.
but after 2 months, it often turns out bannerless players have good reasons not wearing a simple grindable banner in gold/plat.

The only time I personally choose to kick someone is to avoid wasting consumables in a possibly glitched match. Even then, I never explicitly state that I believe or can say that that person actually was going to glitch. The possibilty is there and has been found in past instances to be very likely to happen, but i simply act to avoid that possibilty. It wastes things. Um.... Yeah.Tallgeese_VII wrote...

...yeah.. I am not really talking about you here...
Let them have a go. If they've got a gun, medi-gel, and they're happy to fight reapers, I'm happy to fight alongside them. Played a lobby with two bannerless allies last night, it was absolutely fine. Heck, I wear the Corsair banner, which is basically a free one. I've got others, I used to use Retaliation Mastery, I just like Corsair more.

Corsair banner is great and cool!
It tells that the player is committed enough to finish one oprtaiton at least.
(No sarcasm, seriously this means a lot)
