I just want to kill Loghain and get on with the game. I've been trying for days on the easiest setting and with all players. I don't care about the fighting crap, I just want to get on with the game. I keep trying to save so that I don't have to go through the whole Landsmeet speeches, and that's not working. And the console command to "~runscript killallhostiles" is also not working. Can someone please tell me what cheat to use, or console command to use, to kill Loghain and move on with this part of the game?

Nope, that is not working. The game still ends and asks for a reload or last save. I am set at pc_immortal 1 which indicates it is on. Any other ideas.

Loghain isn't really that hard to kill. To make sure that there will be No Riot. You must make sure you release all the prinsonars when you resuce the queen quest. This will make sure that you have the winning vote. Also

When the topic comes up, click

"Step down your men, and fight me honorabley" or something to that notion you engage in one on one combat.

Actually it's a pretty easy fight compared to the riot you go through if you lose the vote or if you have to face all his guards and him. However I did play on the easy setting.

If you are a mage, click Mana Potions

If a warrior click "Health Potions"

In middle of fight keep pausing. You made it this far in this game I'm pretty sure you know the deal.

Use armor penetrating attacks , and i think u must be 18 lvl+ to see him in yellow name , otherwise u will see him in orange name.



btw what class/ability's u have?

He is impossible to kill. I initially began by asking for an honorable dual but I kept losing. So, I embarked on a full team attack and killed everyone and then, ended up again at the dual option. I'm telling you, I cannot kill this fracking guy. I'm so frustrated.

hmm i have used the pc_immortal for my son when he fought him and he was able to complete it just took him awhile. however i have had little difficulty with him using my mage and wintergrasp, paralyze anything to keep him frozen while i cast on him and he went down easy. My rogue used dirty tricks to initially stun him but again he went down easy for her too. what type of temp are you using?

But the riot is a fun fight. What made this game fun for me on my first playthrough was the fact that it was challenging.

Oh, I just realized what the problem was. My avatar was set at pc_immortal 1 going into the Landsmeet, but just before the dual it would revert back to mortal mode: I had to reset it again once the dual began. Now it works. Thanks everyone for your feedback

As others here have said, the fight against Loghain is absolutely do-able. It's not impossible. Anyone who's finished the game has fought him and won. Use your main character, not a "champion." Your main character should be more powerful than any single ally in your party.



If your main is not, then you've learned something. You've built your character poorly enough that you can't finish them game successfully. I suggest looking at your character.



Do you have too many talent lines started, but almost none to level 4?

(Your talent points are spread around too much, so you're good a a number of things, but not excellent at anything?) Or okay at many things but not really good at much? That's a recipe for disaster.



The game does not get easier after the landsmeet.



How about equipment? Do you have any of the legendary equipment yet? By the Landsmeet, you should have at least one legendary item, if not many. (Ie. one of those items that costs a lot or you had to kill someone really uber for.)



since you did not post your stats/build etc. here, there's really not much more we can tell you except for generalities. The easiest time I had against Loghain was with a dual wielding rogue. Poisons expert. But I've killed him with every class of character. It can be done.



You don't even need to chug potions to do it. My character did not. You'll need to give us more to work with if you want more specifics.

Logain is not that hard to beat, just use your head and your skills.

Neither my mage or rogue took a point of damage killing him (I don't even think he has a 1000 hitpoints). Mage thanks to insane CC, Rogue (Riposte, Dirty Fighting, Stealth). He's probably the easiest boss you face relative to the other bosses in the game

I just resent taking the time to give advice and tips on how to do it, and then find out that all the op wanted was a way to use god mode. It takes time to write well-thought-out advice, and it seems disingenuous to ask for "help" when what you're looking for isn't help, it's "why is my cheat code failling." Wish I hadn't bothered.

I'm guessing that he probably put all his characters on auto level and the game chose his skills/stats for him. But even then, how did he get that far and not be able to kill loghain without cheating...?

Or... perhaps he was playing someone else's game. If you fight Ser Cauthrien at either point, Loghain shouldn't be any challenge at all. For that matter, fighting the Proving fights, the Broodmother, any given Revenant, Arl Howe or Denerim bandits are all harder than Loghain.

Oh, self-righteous indignation. For those lamenting over advice given: I believe I made it abundantly clear in my first entry that I was looking for a cheat. Assessing whether to impart well considered tips (PatT2) would also entail using your reading and comprehension skills. Don't blame me for your oversight. All the same, thanks to those contributors who were able to administer tips without sulking in hindsight.

EASY?!?!?? WHAT?!?!? I have tried killing him with all my characters to no avail. I die SUPER fast with Shale, fairly fast with Alistair, and doing the most with my mage.. that only being 1/2 of his health. He definitely knock downs way too much to start with, and is there a reasonable tactic to beating him??!?!?!
