-No Sync-Kills
-No total reliance on stun-lock for killing.
I'm all for it with those three considerations in mind. The Mech Faction!

I'd like to see at least 1 sync kill unit. It makes people more careful.
Make it obvious and exceptionally easy to avoid, like the Scion's. The only way I was ever sync killed by a Scion was when I tried to be.
But I do think there should be one sync kill unit.

The reason I have an enemy with grenades and 2 enemies with auto-kills is because I wanted the faction to be as different from the geth as possible. If you notice, most of the enemies in the faction has a lot of similarities to the geth faction so all the little differences helps them become unique.

The drone would have moderate shields and armor with a short range shock attack like the Geth bomber.
They can repair mechs very quickly, making them a priority target for the squad.

What about a repair drone type enemy that stays at the back of the mech group to repair its allies?

another person had a support based drone idea that I incorporated in my idea, it doesn't repair but it enhances abilities of the mechs which would be a priority target for the squad. There's a full description if you missed it the first readthrough, it's near the bottom after the bold point and before weapons. It's called a droid processor.

Ahh, missed that one. The support based drone is a nice idea, it would be better I think if it could also enhance the movement speed of the mechs in some way. The mechs from ME2, with the exception of the FENRIS mech, are quite slow. Plus, they're also not as durable as an Atlas.
I thought of the repair based drone because of the Mech's slow movement speed. Having a drone to repair their armor (or health? LOKI Mechs had a Red Bar in ME2 right?) would give the Mechs more chance to get closer to the squad and last a bit longer in battle. If the support drone had an added function like movement speed increase then that would probably eliminate the need for a repiar drone.

We know YMIR, LOKI and FENRIS are manufactured by H-K. Orcus and Ogre are "Cerberus mechs", but for all we know, H-K could be one of Cerberus' front companies anyway; they are clearly based on YMIR and LOKI. I haven't played Omega yet, so I don't know how Ramparts fit into this though.

Why not have it be the blue suns http://masseffect.wi.../wiki/Blue_Suns and have some soldiers in there with the mechs
It would be a good idea but Bioware would'nt go for that because aria is in control of the gangs, and they just released a dlc where Aria is your main teammate. It would contradict big time.
