Has anyone got any advice on reload cancelling for consoles then?
Pretty please?
HELP THIS CONSOLE PEASANT EMBRACE THE CLAYMORE.
Read the above posts.
Press down on your D-pad (attempt to use a Medi-gel, whichever htat one is) the moment during your reload animation where the burning clip is ejected and your ammo counter-replenishes - it's right after the first time your character 'slaps' the weapon.
Using medigel doesn't cause a reload cancel on consoles.
Tips:
If using a character without a dodge, tap A (or X for PS3) to reload cancel.
If using an Infiltrator - use Tactical Cloak.
Other classes can be a little more tricky. But standing still and tapping A does the trick. Either way, there's not a magical reload cancel button like there is on PC.

It also sounds like a dragon when it kills things.
All the things.

Just curious, is there a 'best' way to reload cancel? I just tap the mighty do-all button (take cover, evade, revive, etc), but if there's a better way I'd love to know it. I've seen some people use light melee, but it just takes too long.
Medigel Key. If you are on PC, remap medigel to E. When you hear the click on the Claymore, press E and fire at the same time.
Only sucks when you go down while routinely reload canceling...don't know how much gel I have wasted that way. So, if anyone ever sees me getting up practically before I hit the ground while you are standing two feet away from me - I'm not rage geling. Well, probably not...

With a weapons class, without smart choke you can one shot a ravager.
Wraith at close range + piercing = all ravager sacs broken, so you could tachnically manage it if aim correctly at close range and don't have the smart choke. Break all the sacs with a wraith X shot = 8 bars of armour damage.
If you have a smart choke its not possible, as the pellet spread is too tight to burst all the sacs, but with the hsol's adrenaline rush, or cloak you can easily one shot a ravager with the wraith due to the +damage.

Maybe, but with a Claymore you can one shot ravagers with a significant number of classes, not just weapon ones, while still being able to one shot Marauders at mid range.

Well yeah, but the claymore doesn't have an annoying refire delay, and isn't ultra rare and shiny though is it?
So there's lots of reasons bar cooldowns to take the wraith over the claymore!
