Just finished the game and chose the synthesis ending. Theoretically, Sheperd is now part of every being in the galaxy since his/her energy was combined with the Crucible's. If the beings of the galaxy are super smart now, they could look for signs of Sheperd's being within their own DNA/Code. Once the traces has been identified, a new being could be constructed with Sheperd's essence. This would make Cerberus' work look like play-doh. I want more Sheperd!! It'd be cool if BioWare made a sequel and allowed a Collector's Editon purchase to unlock a Shepard character!! I would definitely pay extra to continue my toon.

Just because Synthesis abandons all levels of sense, doesn't mean other games should too.

I always Destroy...Shep takes the breath...I used to say ME3 should be the end of Sheps story, but given the ending we have and all the new potential fallout from Sheps decisions ...even such things as the new shift in balance between him and Aria, I would actually now love to continue Shep story into ME4....ME3 leaves a lot of loose ends, I would like to play a game with Shep that ties up all these loose ends.

There is nothing creepy at all about the idea of Shepard deciding to force their genetic code on all other living things for the greater good and so to remove differences because that's the only way we'll get along.

It's certainly not more creepy when it's a cis white dude Shep doing it with the history of "uplifting the natives" that we have in this world. Nope. Not at all.

I'm confused by the OP. Are you asking for more synthesis or something?

Yuck.

Science Fiction becomes Religious Space Magic Fiction.

All in one fell swoop.

Eat a motherboard and synthesize.

I did that with my most evil Shepard who romanced Jacob in ME2. She chose synthesis and spread corruption throughout the galaxy. Hopefully it was powerful enough because Jacob named his kid "Shepard"

"Hello Jacob, it really is me. Shepard. For what you put me through? I'm going to make your life a living hell."

LOL, lots of haters, wow. I personally liked synthesis. I watched the possibilities on YouTube prior to choosing. I did like the one where Sheperd takes the breath, but I didn't want to kill the Geth and such, especially after stopping their war. I guess all the folks here who think they can do such a better job could always apply for a job with BioWare...or just do what you'll do anyways, give them your money for the next iteration of ME and emo some more.

Which is strange. You'd think Shep wouldn't survive, what with all that synthetic stuff wired to his brain stem and all.

Whatever. Shep can survive as a synthetic but for some reason, the Geth and EDI can't.

IT'S SENSIBLE BECAUSE SYNTHESIS IS DEEP AND EVERYONE WANTS TO BE THE SAME BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY WAY WE WILL EVER GET ALONG. THAT MESSAGE IS NEVER AT ALL CREEPY FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE MINORITIES.

You raped everyone, you monster...
You altered their DNA against their will and hooked them up to giant brainwashing machines made of dead people...

Everyone and everything for the sake of some twisted science experiment you learned about moments ago from the Reaper King who is taking the form of the child you watched his henchmen murder in front of you...

This hate towards people because they like an ending is why I dislike these forums.

Leave him alone.

As a part of a minority let me make one thing clear.

Your race card expired a long time ago.

The implication in synthesis is not that diversity has been destroyed, but that common understanding has been literally built into our beings.
Please don't bring talk of racism or intolerance to BSN when no one is implying such thing, lets keep things civil without having to resort to unreasonable hyperbole.
  Leave that to the politicians.

Dude, dude, stop calling it rape, it's just not acceptable for you to trivialize a serious real life horrid event to the ending of a video game.

you're just using hyperbole to create create gut reaction against something  you disagree with.

You're not fooling anyone, you have no argument whatsoever.

I hate people who assume Synthesis is the worst thing that can happen. Different people like different endings, get over it.
