In any case, I can't remember the exact words of the Catalyst. Something about we'll never see eye to eye on things because we're so different so we best to get rid of those differences?

She doesn't really say that differences keep disappearing in Synthesis at all, just that Synthetics and Organics and live peacefully now and see each other as equal.

Exactly. People are taking it too literally though, I assumed it meant they could live peacefully and equally, not that everyone is the same. Like I said though, people interpret things differently. I don't really see the negatives to Synthesis (Only thing I am not keen on is the green eyes), whereas obviously a lot of people are different to me.

"The line between synthetic and organic" -- not the line between krogan and asari, or turian and yahg. I interpreted EDI's line to mean that synthetic and organic structures would become so interdependent that people would stop thinking of themselves as having organic "parts" and synthetic "parts."

I have my own share of misgivings about Synthesis, but I don't buy the idea that it destroys diversity at all.
