Mostly doing the assorted quests. Beat up on some punks hassling the local courtesans, killed copious amounts of drowners (and the distinctly different drowned men lol) in the swamp. This involved doing some quests for Siegfried as well. He and I seem to have quite the cordial relationship with each other. I suppose when one dominates a cockatrice like I did...
I think Coleman is broken though. I cleared out his haunted house, but he doesn't seem to be in the Hairy Bear Inn at any time now
Also, Murphy's Law. I bought some fissteck from him. And the next 4 assassins I kill all have some on them too! >.<
Fortunately Jethro talked.
EDIT: Oh! And ZOUNDS. The dwarf beards. They must have strong necks holding those things up!

Ask the innkeeper about Coleman, he´ll tell you where to go. If you let the elves in Chapter 1 have the goods, don´t visit the detective until you´ve finished with Coleman´s quests.
The elves are dead, but I have spoken with the detective, so I am not necessarily blocked on it. Worst case, he's skipped town as far as Geralt is concerned and I can't complete it.

I'm still early in Chapter 2. To me the Squirrels are a bunch of militant nonhumans that kill and do bad things because they feel oppressed.

If you'd like we can turn this into a more Witcher specific thread (since it's catching the eye of Witcher fans in general), but then I'll probably have to take my leave of the thread.
Regardless, I'll likely alter the thread title just to make it clear what the thread has evolved to (whichever way it goes).

It's not at all the end of the world, but I have been posting in more of a "what am I thinking as I am playing" so it's a bit of a stream of consciousness.
It can be hard to not let future information potentially sway my decisions and ideally on the "first playthrough" I prefer it that way.
Though I concede on some level I forfeit that by not playing it sooner
Cheers.
Have you met the vampires yet Allen?
I met some big giant creatures that drop vampire teeth haha. One was chilling in the garden near the hospital!

Have you been exploring Vizima at night btw? You can run into some quests that you wouldn't otherwise.
I have been yes. I need to do so to complete some quests. I can't recall if I found anything new, however. Though there's a ton of things that classify as quests!

Also ratted on Coleman. He was a bit of a ponce and its one less drug dealer on the streets!
Also, in an effort to make this the worst lets play ever, here are some random assorted pics that I snapped off in no particular order:

Some of the dialogue is pretty hilarious (for perhaps not the best reasons). It doesn't really take away from the game, but I like:
Raymond: You and Shani are friends. You should get her to do an autopsy
Geralt (suspiciously): Heeeeey, are you spying on me!?!?
Raymond: It's my job
Geralt (calmly): See you later!
The Vizima Confidential Uber-Quest was definitely a memorable one. The screenshots remind me how well they did the city of vizima. The whole atmosphere of it reminds me a bit of Whiterun from Skyrim. The All-In-One Towns i.e. Majora's Mask and the like can work when done properly.
Impressive that it's the NWN engine as far as I'm concerned!

Have you talked to Carmen, the madame at the Eager Thighs Brothel? Go talk to her. She has one of the best quests of the game.
The only quest I got from her was to protect some of the other courtesans at night.

Running in the swamp getting the stones for the obelisks. Not sure where I'll get the last one, but learning about the 2nd last one (in the Golem). Need to talk to Alchemist to figure out the what's up.
Also, Shani wants to have a shindig. Need to find someoen to invite (the alchemist! lol)

I'm guessing they didn't like me having two different things to have to do with Shani late at night. Ended up reloading and did the autopsy first (which mostly just confirmed that Javed is in fact a bad dude, and that Raymond is him).
Although interesting, the medallion actually does vibrate in game (as Geralt made a comment on it)

I don't know where to find the last stone for the monolith. Given Kalkstein's advice on it, I assume I'll magically come across it I guess :\\
The golem was interesting.

I romanced Shani (which was executed so well, right up until you give her the rose). Although the game seems pretty intent on hooking me up with Triss, since they just write in that she jumps my bones at the beginning of Chapter 3. (In a rather awkward and almost uncomfortable scene, to be honest).
In general, I absolutely loathe the cards. I do not like what they represent at all, and while I could argue that Triss' is still rather tasteful, the other ones I saw (Abigail, Shani, Courtesan) made me facepalm more than anything else. I've effectively decided to not bother anymore, and would prefer to see if I can focus on a single relationship. My goal is to effectively try to be with Shani, but I don't think that's in the cards (ho ho ho) unfortunately. I have a feeling that the Princess will want a piece of me as well, and I may have to acquiesce and decide whether or not to go with the flow with Triss. I may renege on this if I feel there's a legitimate story purpose for doing so (manipulating for information), but we'll see I guess.
I enjoyed the conversation with Javed as Raymond in the tower. The hints of learning the truth and all. I suspect that he gets a shot in on me if I don't already know the truth (which is pretty neat!).
But now it seems I'm off to chapter 3. I am low on gold (definitely cannot afford the armor upgrade!), but need to look to upgrade my sword (finally have 3 pieces of meteorite).
The game hints that I'll need to make a choice, and if I were to make one now it'd probably be the Order.

Ran into an interesting spot. A merchant said he is unable to sell liquor because of a royal edict. (Looks around at all the alcohol on display in the square), interesting....
