As for the cobmat, I remember being told that The Witcher had fantastic combat, so when I realized it was a sequence of timed clicks, I was really let down.
I know that feeling. I get what they were trying to achieve with the combat, but the end result isn't particularly exciting or enjoyable. To an extent, I could likely say the same for the original Mass Effect(though I enjoyed that combat significantly more). Pick a sword, pick a stance, come on geralt, let's do a dance.
I am finding it tough to understand why Witchers are not trusted, since all I did was go around and slay monsters that tormented people, presumably for less money than the Royal Huntsmen types do.
Paranoia and Exaggerations through half-truths(and flyers, apparently).
I agree slightly with Maria on TW2: If I had to choose between the 2, I'd go for the second. However, I still think it's a game worth playing for seeing where the second is coming from, and get significant plot points and characters bits.
Allan, have you considered doing a LP for it styled similarly to Crusty's? Throw in a few screenshots & such, and you've got quite a topic.
