the patch should not be linked to ostagar, if it is, forcing someone to buy downloadable content to get a patch is reprehensible.
To the guy who had the PS3 version with no bugs... wow lucky you. I got so fed up with mine I bought the PC version as we had a new pc for christmas.
If they wanted to Bioware could have brought out a small patch fixing major bugs like the dex one and the save corruption one and should have done.
Why has the console patch not been released yet?

Funny, I don't recall anyone saying you had to buy RTO in order to get the patch.Where are you getting this nonsense? I do believe the patch would be included in RTO, but you would be able to get it for free should you decide to not get the DLC. It is just the confusion on they way they are wording it. It does sound like the patch will be in RTO instead of being released with RTO. This isn't the first thread in a forum someone has asked. And not in this forum. Especially with the RTO delay it does sound a bit fishy since for some reason the patch has also been delayed. I wonder if they save money bundling them both to send for certification.

I haven't read the entire thread but I have to agree with the TC and the first response. Unfortunatly I had to import the game because they didn't release a CE in my country and I wanted to get the best Bioware had to offer (always have). I blame EA for not supporting my country the way Microsoft has when they worked with Bioware, and maybe we can blame EA for wanting a console version in the first place but it has happened and now they have to provide a patch. Either that or bring back all copies because the game is filled with game breaking bugs and in many countries that means they have to refund every returned copy. This doesn't help me however and I also liked the game so I would much rather see a patch, or atleast hear a response from Bioware or EA regarding the subject.

There has been an official response. Wait until they release RTO and then we get our patch. I mean it has only been a few months no rush or anything. It isn't like we paid the same amount as PC players did or anything like that so clearly we are quite low on thier priority list. We can't expect them to fix the problem until we start refilling the coffers.
