For some reason, Aerie's portrait isn't showing. It's just a grey silhouette. At first I thought it was my mods, which changed the .bcs file for Aerie in /override, but this is still happening with a fresh install and the same save. Does anyone have any idea what I can do?

Even google had no answers! This is seriously the first time that's ever happened to me.

UPDATE:

I found a fix for this. I had to install it with a fresh installation of the game, and start a new save, but it worked.

Thanks for replying though, guys. I wasn't sure anyone would be around on this forum anymore.

Have you tried briefly dropping her from the party and then asking her to rejoin? It might sidestep the bug. But save first just in case.
Were you trying to give Aerie an alternate portrait, or did it just suddenly happen?

Have you checked your portrait folder* to make sure the portraits are there? I'm not at my computer with BG2 installed right now, but I believe the files should be NAERIEM.bmp and NAERIES.bmp. If you have overridden those, they would still be .bmp files in the \\override folder.

*Typically at:C:\\Program Files\\Black Isle\\BGII - SoA\\Portraits

There are only your PC portraits in that folder. As for NPCs - their portraits are in \\DATA\\Portrait.bif. It's about 13Mb so, Slappy Ya Face, I can mail it to you if you wish. Just replace it and look whether it will help.
