The entire ME3 content requires an Origin-online status for you to play it. If the Origin server/s go down or act up, you can only get as far as the main menu, basically.

I disabled my Internet, got past the 'checking downloadable content' message and I can't play any of my saves due to 'From Ashes' content.

So now I'm on ME2 which can be played offline.

Just the DLC does. The core game doesn't need online at all, and I guess their reasoning was that if you have DLC, you must have your Xbox online. Fair enough, if it wasn't for their ****ty servers.

Yep, sadly the only way to repair the servers is to reset everyone's save data. The only way to avoid it is to disconnect your console from the internet and never play ME3 online again. Quite a big screw up on EA's part.

Isn't that great, coming home from work, reading about the downtime and then realizing nothing has been down about this crap in more than three hours? Can't even log into Origin...

So EA created Origin to attempt to compete with Valve's Steam.
And now Origin is down, so i'm going to play another EA game, Dead Space 2, on Steam while I wait for EA's servers to come back.
Seems kind of pointless, doesn't it?
