He's not on PC, actually. If you go to his profile and check, he's on 360 - which I still hold is bull that you can't play a offline part of the game because the server is down.

you can just go offline from ps network and start the game. it works without internet.

There are so many cheaters (most of the time ppl who messed with the stats) and exploiters(FB Hydra) loitering around that a few illegal copys would hardly matter
And not being able to play offline can make ppl like Devilry  who want to play the kampain resort to "illegal" activities.

I don't get it. Are you saying that people who have no particular interest in multiplayer might be encouraged to pirate games because those copies sometimes just seem to work better than the bought ones?

Yeah, it's time for an update from the people who develop the game and run the servers. Letting your user base hang isn't cool.

This is pretty much exactly the reason I've basically refused to buy Ubisoft games for the past several years... now I'll have to add "anything that requires Origin" to the list of games I'll not buy *sighs*

I swear there have been more Origin / EA server outages in the last few months than there have been Steam outages in the last few years.

oh, i just got an idea! maybe hamster froze to death... there is a lot of snow in Europe and it is cold. Croatia is cluttered. :-)

Why do people convince themselves that they can't play the SP campaign when the servers are down? Do you want to live in that world? Because you are choosing to leave the real world to go to that one.

OMG, a thousand times, only MP is affected by the server outage. The SP and DLC all function as normal, whether you are a console '****** or one of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race.

I'm on xbox though. Tried disconnecting from the internet but I couldn't acess my saves because it couldn't load the dlc... :/

That's an issue with the Box, then, not Origin. I'm on PC and can play the SP fine, DLC included...

No, it doesn't. Own the PC version, purchase the SP DLC's and then try running campaign mode when the servers are down. Because the DLC Will. Not. Load. because of the DRM.

There was once that occasion when the "channel" the part of the northern sea between Great Britain and the rest of Europe was frozen, and british newspapers reported "The continent is isolated!". Needless to say that we continentals could reach almost everything with the exception  of GB (and even that if we decided to tolerate the substandard quality of London Heathrow Airport) - it is always a matter of the point of view.

I'm just typing that as I am bored.

Edit: as an addon, SP works for me. But that is because I am using local saves instead of cloud saves. People with cloud saves are probably screwed currently.

Would you like me to upload a video of my screen sitting at the title screen checking downloadable content...cause that is what it is stuck on.  You can't play anything...unless I go offline likely.

Same here can't log in. Actually can't even boot the game! Its stuck on the verifying dlc screen >.> (after not being able to connect to the servers message)

ps3...so don't know how xbox is working but now i'm glad to have ps3. 
maybe you colud try to play without dlc...or shut down you modem....i don't know.
