Why is it that I cant even access single player without unplugging my internet? That really needs to be fixed. My xbox locks up on the checking dlc screen.

you can just go offline from ps network and start the game. it works without internet.

That's an issue with the Box, then, not Origin. I'm on PC and can play the SP fine, DLC included...[/quote]

maybe you colud try to play without dlc...or shut down you modem....i don't know.

Yeah, I sometimes feel like the ps3 was the better way to go.  Ah well. I'll just go find something else to do until the servers are back up. Still annoying though.

I don't get it. Are you saying that people who have no particular interest in multiplayer might be encouraged to pirate games because those copies sometimes just seem to work better than the bought ones?

That's some twisted logic you got there! 

What i mean is that people who want to play mass effect kampain and can't play it 'cause the servers are down(again for the x's time) they just might get the idea to crack their game. And if they already used a crack why not do something more, like installing a modified dlc?
If you modify your files a little you are able to play the campain and dlc's without having to be online, which is the one more step on the road to "free to play" games which usually suck.

not annoying. they are messing with my marriage! had a deal with my husband. first i play ME, later he plays CoD...my ps time and i can't shoot.

I'm pretty sure the problem is with EA - Origin is their shtick, not BioWare's. Go back to Steam F'ing EA!

Is it because your game is trying to reach the servers that you get stuck at the main menu? Do you not have a way to play in offline mode? My game checks for DLC, notices I'm offline, and stops. Then I can do whatever I want, aside from MP.

I'm starting think this is user error, not platform specific. I swear to Santa Claus, you can play ME3 with DLC offline.

Glad SP is working for you. 

XBOX 360 - stuck at checking content. It is not possible to play the single player campaign at this time bro.

I have confirmed this with others.  

Maybe if I disable the internet, it might let me play SP.  But most likely I will do something else and check back later.

Yes, you have to disable the internet. Go into your Options or whatever your console calls it and tell it not to connect to EA servers automatically. It might be a minor inconvenience to have to go offline to stop it from getting stuck checking for servers that are down... but it's hardly the same thing as "I can't play the SP game because the servers are down, this is total bull****".
