If you don't want to think of this man cumming in his pants, invest in some decent server architecture and talented staff to maintain it EA...

I was playing the SP game when the message "lost connection to server" came up. Now I can't even start Origin, because I get the message "An unknown error ocurred. Restart Origin and try again" (translated) on login. So, no MP and not even SP! Hope they fix this soon >.<
Having the same trouble. However in my case Origin freaked out completely. I changed my password yesterday (after reading info on russian hackers) and I get the same error if I try to log in with it. However, after trying to load in with the old password I managed to load into offline mode. What the hell?
I changed my password like you yesterday. Tried the old one now, and lo and behold - I'm now in Origin, though in offline mode. Something strange is going on here.

But apparently its not just Mass Effect, its a bunch of EA servers, Battlefields, FIFA's, Madden's. Surprisingly though NFSMW is actually working
Which means there's probably not a whole heck of a lot BioWare can actually do on their end, if the problem is with the EA mothership.
Same dealio at my workplace. If something gets borked from the top, there's not a lot you can do to fix it locally except wait it out and try to keep customers calm.

Have you tried just disconnecting your PS3 from the internet altogether?nessaandnii wrote...
Hopefully this gets fixed soon. Can't even play ME3, because it keeps trying to load online/downloadable content. (ps3 user)

I think you're being far too kind to EA's technicians by implying they even have the intelligence of kittens.Hitman2073 wrote...

Dude, it's Origin (which means games that require you to be online on your Origin account).

No, seriously. That's what you do on the Xbox if you get stuck on the DLC check message. It doesn't try to check anything via the servers if the system itself isn't online.LeoAlbus wrote...

Thought about it, I'll admit, but I opted to just let the servers stew for a while and am now just watching Netflix. I was mostly interested in playing MP.
