Its not even good enough to be crowned "craptasic" and that ONLY seems to work on Geth most other factions ignore it. Defense Matrix would be good but since it isn't in multiplayer I'm still voting for Recon Mine.

Nobody considers the Novaguard to be an underperforming kit.

1) /sarcasm
2) Actually the Novaguard is incredibly average in all aspects. He's easy to use, does decent damage and, thanks to Nova Invulnerability Frames has nice survivability but no he isn't particularly powerful and is-to me underwhelming. Is he underpowered? No. But is he also a slayer, CCer and/or tank? No. He is a tanky(ish), sort of crowd controlling wannabe slayer. He is a jack of all trades, but specialised characters are generally better than jacks and there are also many more jacks that are much MUCH more effective.

Against Geth, it distracts enemies, yup. Salarian Engineer also come equipped with Shield Drain, another skill that really only shines against geth. Incinerate is only really good for setting up fire eplosions and setting off tech bursts.

A skill that only works against one faction is craptastic and then combining it with another skill that only shines against that same enemy type is just a bad idea.

I'm sorry, that must be a different novaguard from the one I know. Is the one you're talking about female or male? 

Novaguard is one of the best tank in the game. If not the best.

I'm sorry, that must be a different novaguard from the one I know. Is the one you're talking about female or male? 

Novaguard is one of the best tank in the game. If not the best.

Step 4 (or 3) - Press Y again.

Pro Tip - Don't charge angry sync kill units.

Also if you really believe the Novaguard is a better tank then every other character in the game (completely disregarding Krogan, Batarians, New Turians, Most Grenade classes and quite a few more humans) then you are dillussional. The Novaguard is good yes, but powerful to the point that you can work the magic with it like you can the Kroguard, KroSol, MQI, GI, TGI, Human Soldier, Destroyer, MQE, DA and Flamer classes? No. And all of those classes do more damage, and have better crowd control (exception of maybe GI and HSol) and, when played right can do that damage in positions the Novaguard can only be in whilst Nova-Cancelling.

Yeah, exactly. Nova-canceling. I see you didn't mention it in your little "guide". Maybe if you did, you'd recognize him as the great kit he/she is 

Hey, I don't want to sound like a dick, but... Go watch Achire's platinum solo with him. You'll see what this character can do when in the right hands (not mine, by the way) 

P.S: why would grenade classes be tanks now?

You are doing it very wrong.

The sequence always is Nova -> Charge.

You only can do Nova when you have a charge ready and a target to charge, otherwise you are stupid suicidal.

Also you can charge everything but praetorians and teleporting banshees.

Nova nothing? Cool idea. Now whilst you waste timing Novaing on the spot hitting nothing because no enemy spawns on top of you, I'll be over in that spawn, tanking rockets and Fire Sploding everything with my Krogan Soldier. Have fun.
