I like this idea, but I would want to see it expanded to all 3 endings, with LI as the lead. If no LI, then can use either Virmire Survivor or your most used character (friend). I think Bioware could do it. It would be the only post ending DLC that could work and maybe explain a little bit more on what exactly happened to Shepard.

As to the question on what would you actually fight since there would be no more reapers, geth, cerberus, etc, maybe just gangs of people during the chaos of the aftermath? Or perhaps people who believe Shepard to be alive and trying to find his/her body so they can (insert plot device here).

Anyway, I like this idea.

Well seeing how people responded to the crucible, i think another random plot device will not be welcomed. Anyway whouldn't the soldiers on earth go to the citadel to look for survivors? By the time the normandy gets back, they prolly already found shepard, death or alive

Although it would be great fan service, it would be very hard to implement because of different love interest possibilities and I can't see EA financing it, even if the V.A.'s were willing to come in to work on it and BioWare had the desire to create it. A great idea that will probably never happen unless a fan were to make it, and I have not seen anything that indicates that is possible.

Yep I posted this in the DLC suggestions thread awhile ago and now there is a video up , obviously more people on this ideas wavelength!

Would be an excellent and quite dramatic DLC + the old squadmates can be reused!! So bonus points all round.

Anything is possible. Why would it be hard to implement exactly, you just need different dialogue for each character, you know like the rest of the game.

True, but I was thinking along the lines of maybe some freaky cultists who are in the beginning stages of worshipping Shepard and need the body for something.  But that's just my crappy writing idea. I don't pretend to be a writer haha. 

And you're definitely right about the time frame. I'm sure by the time the Normady comes back, soldiers would have found the body (or lack there of).  

It's a nice idea that warms the co.ckles of my heart, but maybe we shouldn't be forcing it?

Mass Effect 3: The Search for Shepard

I would pay even 2400BW points for this kind of DLC, where you would play as your LI and go find Shepard!
Of course only in Destroy ending.

For a moment I was huanted by Star Trek - The search for Spock.

Then I saw the Trailer and the pointy eared one was gone.

I like the idea of having the whole ME3 crew back together again. I like the idea of them stealing the Normandy to go look for Shep even more.

Couple of questions though.

You say we could play as Shepard's LI........... does that include characters like Miranda and Jack who were not part of the ME3 squad roster?........... and who would fill the gap for those characters who died or ran off and cheated the first chance he got?!?...... Not thinking of any cerberus ex alliance biotic soldier in particular there. Though if a certain SOB like that did come back as the LI I guess the circle would be complete.

Also. How extensive would this DLC be ideally? Shepard's search could easily be expanded past the belief he's on the Citadel or Earth and see us flying around the galaxy again. He's been carted off once already back when he was dead. Being nearly dead would afford an organisation to do something similar.

And last question. If ME4 is a sequel, would TSFS be the last DLC you'd like released so that it tie's in somehow with future event's the way the Arrival did back in ME2?

Its doable as a separate game. I don't want Bioware to be limited by size, should they ever consider doing a Search for Shepard project, and DLC has a 2 gig cap.

Question is will there be enough sales to make a profit?

I would buy it, I love the fact that it's kaidan too ^^
But maybe Bioware, has similar ideas with the new dlc that comes out :/

I almost couldn't keep fan squeeling to myself (at work right now). Oh how I'd LOVE to have Kaidan search for my Mshep and Fshep. It makes me wonder what this new DLC that's calling for all hands on board to come and make is about.

I don't think it HAS to be Destruction ending. They don't know that Shepard is dead.
I think the DLC should be post ending, (any ending) and they find something different each time.

Destroy: Shepard alive
Control: Shepard AI reaper saying "hey guys I'm a reaper, bye"
Synth: A record showing that Shepard sacrificed himself.

As for enemies, why does it even have to have enemies. I would pay even if it was a "normandy crash site" DLC you know, something with strong a atmosphere and a lot of emotion. Flashbacks etc etc...

TBH no i would not play this i enjoyed playing as joker for about 5 minutes, but playing as another character a whole mission? no thank you i would rather play as Shepard waking up and doing whatever until someone finds him or we but not paying for a DLC were i play as anyone but Shepard

And there is nothing to say it cannot be done as a race against time, you have a crippled, dying shepherd there, or a shepherd wasting away being converted into whatever...

The team racing to save him....

Sounds pretty amazing , flashbacks to shepherd. Make the wrong choices and he's gone, make the right ones and you might lose some of the team in the rush? Good old drama.

Even if its just to rescue his body, or send him off like the hero he/she was, I bet Garrus, Tali and the rest wouldn't rest one bit.

I'm more of an Ash fan, but I have to admit. Kaiden does seem a more comfortable leading role than the former gunnery chief.

I like both of them. Kaidan is just saved less on Virmire than Ash I believe, so it's cool whenever something involves him. Although I definitely wouldn't be opposed to Ash kicking ass and searching for Shep either
