Should I let Wrex die/ kill Wrex? Playing through ME1 right now, can't convince myself to.

The only way to completely save the colony of Feros (as in making sure that the colony gets the financial backing it needs from the company, no attempted purge, blah blah blah) is to convince him with a persuasion check. I like that colony and am not going to let it down, so if I have to do a minor glitch to save it so be it.

Yeah I generally either intimidate or persuade Jong to do it and the use the gas grenades to save the colonists or melee some of them

You do realize that if you just play the game and as many missions as you can before Feros, you'll have a legit amount of paragon points, right? There's no real need to cheat/glitch at all for that persuasion check.

I realize that, but I have a canon of what worlds to do first. The story makes the most sense with Therum>Feros>Noveria>Virmire. With that order, there is ABSOLUTELY no way to max paragon out before I reach Feros.

Do all the side missions you can and do the dlc missions and I think you can rack up enough points and just upgrade your charm skill with it. I generally do therum Noveria feros then virmire. Also if you do a replay you can go there first and get the charm skill to work

The colony gets along just fine without him as long as you spare Shiala, do the sidequests, and keep four or more colonists alive. You're just wrong about the consequences, unless you're headcanoning that you're getting a better result than the game says you're getting. But persuading Jeong does not get you a better result from the Citadel news reports, or a different report on Feros in the sequels.

Save him in ME1, and then betray him in ME3.
