Hello BSNers! I know these thank you threads are tiresome, and sort of over done. But i really wanted to just say my peace here.

First off, I think it's great that Bioware hasn't forgotton the PS3 gamers. They didn't have to do what they did, it might have been a risk to even try making a port to PS3 (who would buy it?? What's the profit margin?)  But they did it anyway.

Mass Effect 1 is my favorite game in recent years (the last game i enjoyed this much was Final Fantasy VII.) The game really has a way of reaching out to people and enriching their lives; mine included.

I still own the xbox version, as I would never get rid of it, but I neglect that system because i don't have a good track record with it: I've owned 5 different xbox's since it's launch. Any time a product is defective that many times, it's smart to move onto something else.
I'm a console gamer, so i don't fancy PC games. It's just something about sitting in my couch/bed comfortably with a controller in my hand. So naturally I game mostly on my PS3.

Moving onto the point, I can't tell you how unbelievably happy i've been playing ME1 on PS3. The game looks better somehow (maybe the touch ups?), runs smooth, and has minimal bugs. But most importatly, it makes me feel like a kid again. Stumbling into the adventure of Shepard and how he changed the galaxy forever...
I can't help but smile when I think about how I'm playing it on the PS3 :)

So I just wanted to say thanks. Thank you Bioware for sharing such an amazing game with your PS3 audience. I can't wait to play all three over my Christmas vacation :) No sleep, here i come!!

PS.
I'm not the preachy type, and i'm not one to jump on a soapbox and support... well, anyone really. But Mass Effect is one of the few things i'm really passionate about. I know Bioware gets a ton of flak, more than they deserve. But evey now and then you need to realize that they do good stuff too. If that makes me sound like a fanboy, then so be it; even though I don't say/do things like this at all.

I might as well add to this.

I've played through the whole trilogy before. I tried the demo of ME2 when it became available for PS3 and liked it a lot. Since ME1 wasn't available for PS3 I bought it for PC instead and then played 2 and 3 on PS3. I bought ME1 as soon as it became available through PSN. Actually, I bought the trilogy pack through PSN so I won't have to switch discs again (seems like I always have to, at least, play ME3MP parallel to other games), and ME1 was too cheap anyway.

I have to say that the port has been great so far. It feels a lot better to play ME1 on PS3 than on PC. And I didn't really think I would be this excited to play through the whole trilogy again, but knowing that this playthrough will contain a lot of additional details and encounters with characters from ME1 makes it a lot more interesting than it would have been otherwise.

So a huge thanks to Bioware for making 3 of my favorite games and for making it possible for me, and many others, to experience the whole trilogy on the same system (and with the same Shepard).

AFAIK, no one from Bioware / EA reads any forums on the Social Site other than the "3's" (DA-3, ME-3), plus Jesse in Site Help.

What facts do you base this on? Besides that no one from Bioware posts here? That doesn't mean that they don't read it.

Do you work for Bioware? I don't, but i do work for another gaming company and i assure you that we still read our forums for games that are five years old, and older. Especially when a big update or new content comes out. In this case the release of ME1 on PS3 and the trilogy to xbox and PC.

Even if it's a moderator that reads it, i'll be thankful.
