Anyone else worried about how Dragon Age 3 will turn out?

First off I do have to say that I absolutely LOVE Dragon Age! They were both fab - the second game in my opinion wasn't quite as good as the first, they tried changing a few things to see how it would hit of. Sadly it didn't hit off as well as they hoped. But this time the third one is a chance to make up for that :).

Okay I would just like to ask, is anyone else a bit worried about what BioWare are going to do to the thrid game? I have heard a few times they are going to make it more like Skyrym for one. Now depending on what they use from that game it can turn out brillinat or horrid. I HATED Skyrym personally. I have to admit however, there were a couple of things while playing that game I thought would be good to add on Dragon age. If they wanted to change the maps, make it an open world, no limitations on were to walk, then that wouldn't be bad to have. Adding online open player if done right I think would hit off. But BioWare should definitely NOT copy how their characters look. I thought each character in Skyrym was hideous. Dragon Age ones looks so much better. I know looks aren't important but in a game, lets face it, most of us would like our characters to look attractive.

I hope that Dragon Age doesn't loose themselves. How they have the game now is spot on. If they make it more like Skyrym or any other game along those lines, they may loose people. I can say I wouldn't be happy at all.

There are things I think they should add on. Romance is definitely on the plus side :D. I love the diologues, the people, actors, their personalities and the story lines. I think they should have quests on the curing the wardens, let them have children and grow old together. Lets face it, both the Warden and Champion are in the late 20's maybe 30. They're not getting younger so they'll need them soon. I think that's the least they deserve.

So what does anyone else think?

Cool. I was the same. I wasn't worried at all at first but I started hearing things that started to get me thinking. If they stay the way they basically are, they'll do fine :)

Not really worried. More curious, to be honest. Will be cool to see how the new engine works out. Still...not sure if I will be pre-ordering this one.

Short answer: Nope. I'm not worried.

Long answer:
There is always the danger of disappointment, as in every game you look forward to. There will most definitely be aspects in the game I feel could have been handled better or that I personally don't like. Such is the fate of a fan. But overall, I have faith that Bioware will deliver as they have always done.

I've never played a Bioware game I didn't like. I really enjoyed DAII despite what other people might say, even with the flaws present. And I know that DAIII is very likely to be better than DAII

Wise advice. Thanks guys. I agree with all of you. I'm also very curious. I haven't been disappointed with them and hopefully I will never experience that either. :-D

Despite alot of people liking DA2, its fair to say that the franchise kind of too a hit with that one. Bad reviews, poor sales etc. DA3 has to be a good one. Simple as that - and i am pretty sure it will alot better than the second one. Maybe it will even have 2 different caves.

Whoa! Slow down! Lets not get crazy here! :P

I hope if they take anything from Skyrim it's the environments. Each area unique pretty much.

Worried?

I spend each waking hour in a state of perpetual fear. The anticipation is taking years off my life.

No, not really - I've found that it's best not to stress out over games when I already get periodic doses of stress, fear, and anxiety from my job. I enjoyed exploration and the open world of Skyrim, although I didn't like the lack of impetus as far as progressing the narrative went.

If they can achieve some sort of successful middle ground between a sandbox world and the more closed BW game environments while keeping the good things about story, pacing, etc., I think it could be interesting.

I'm very worried about the engine.

But that's about it. I know the writing will be splendid, the characters amazing, the art delicious, and the game at least enjoyable.

I'm just not sure it's going to be the same Dragon Age we recognize from the first two games. That doesn't mean it will be bad, but it worries me.

curious about engine, but that's all. DA3 can't be worse than DA2 right?

Nope. While Bioware hasn't done their best work lately, they've had plenty of time to create this game and I know that I'll enjoy it, even if it isn't as good as Origins was.

Am I worried? Not at all.

This time around they're taking their time to do things right, so I have confidence that DA3 will be a great game.
