Terrified.

I loved DAO gave it a 10 it was so good i could ignore the occasional bug.

I hated DA2 gave it a 5 it was a streamlined casual action game with some rpg elements.

Now the 3rd game. Will it be the casual press A and awesome things happen game, or the more cerebral RPG where thought determined if you won and not your reflexes

Im going to give it a shot with all the hope i have that the RPG returns to the DA series.

I 'm not worried I'll buy anything with Bioware's name stamped on it. I loved DAO and DA2 . Now the fans worry me ,mosty those Comic-Con costume wearing ,skyrim loving freaks...who are always on the hunt for the perfect RPG.

I 'm not worried I'll wait till the game is reviewed by credible sources. DAO was decent and DA2 was meh. Now the fans who worry me, mostly are those condescending, romance loving freaks...who are always on the hunt for the perfect love interest.

Agreed

People complain about not being told anything, they respond that they don't so people don't get carried away. Then fans take the smallest piece of information, interpret it in the most negative fashion possible and exaggerate it completely out of proportion. That's all this Skyrim comment seems to have done.

It's too early and too little is known about the game, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Nope. I loved DA:O and I loved DA2. They had different qualities, and both did some things I liked a lot, while both did some things I didn't like at all. I assume that DA3 will also be pretty awesome, and I almost certainly won't like everything about it - heck, I already know I won't, since I'm not in favor of no racial choice for the protagonist - but that doesn't mean I won't be able to enjoy what it does well and appreciate it for those things.

Now there is nothing wrong with a little romance . You'll find that it in every RPG. I don't care about reviews ,Da2 was't meh..and most of the so-called fans can be a bit condesending as well.

I am unconcerned.
The previous titles impressed me, I expect Inquisition will as well.

I am worried. loved origins but hated DA2
Been playing Bioware games since Baldur's Gate and loved most of them, but have been disappointed me over the last 2 years so I am worried the direction bioware is going.
DA3 got the potential to be amazing tho so not completely negative about it :P

Yes. I can see it already, ridiculous gigantic spiked armour with weapons that do not look like weapons at all and no normal person could lift combined with ff hairstyles (brooding emo), 2 optiln discussion, LOTS of videos you have no control over, and finally, the starchild.

I fear for that moment.

Worried? No. More like weary.

To me, there has been a bad streak of disappointing and mediocre bioware-games lately. From Dragon age 2 and Star Wars The old Republic to Mass Effect 3. I look forward to seeing this streak broken with Dragon Age 3.

But I don't want another game that snatches the control away from me like it was the case in ME3 and DA2. And not another disjointed story that suddenly skips ahead in time.

This trend of making games more 'accessible' to appeal to more money has got to go. I find it ironic (and amusing), that the failed attempt to pander to a wider mass of money by dumbing down the combat and gameplay system to 'make it more accessible', always falls flat on its face.
I certainly hope they learn their lesson in DA3 by returning to the roots of Origins. Make combat challenging, not frustrating. And don't assume the player has a stupid and cannot brain. Please.

On that note: Don't try to lure us in with overpaid, overrated and underwhelming hollywood celebrities. They cost too much and deliver less-than-memorable performances while drawing funds away from making the game more polished. Hire actors instead.

I'm rather confident that the "more like Skyrim" line is just pure marketing BS. Bioware has never done open world games, and I don't see why they would start now.
I think the one thing to learn from the problems of DA2 and especially ME3 is that, while Bioware is still making quality games, their marketing department unfortunately has access to some strong drugs.

Worried? No, definitely not.

I'll do what I did for DA2 - read the reviews from the people who LOVED the game. If I like the features that they are saying are wonderful, I'll buy early and not wait for the price to come down. If not, I'll wait until the price comes down significantly.

Nope, not worried at all. Can't be worried over something I have no vested interest in.

Morbid curiosity does have me coming back to see what gets promised, how much hope is generated on the forums, and what the reactions will be when reality knocks though.

Ouch!

I am a bit worried. Worried that Dragon Age doesn't seem to be consistent.

In DA:O they established a new game, with it's own universe, art style, gameplay which had a more linear progression.
In DA 2 they changed to some degree both the art style and the combat and made the progression more hub-like.
God knows what DA 3 will be like, both in terms of art style and gameplay. All we know is that it's going for a more sandbox approach.

Why can't Dragon Age be Dragon Age and not Dragon Effect 2 or The Elder Scrolls III: Dragon Age. Why can't this game do it's own thing, create it's own identity without being influenced by so many other RPGs?

Just imagine if they had chenged the art style as drastically in Mass Effect as they did in DA 2. If Alistar never opened his mouth, I would have never realised it was him. Now just picture that same scenario with someone like Joker or Garrus or Liara.

All I ever wanted from this franchise was for it to be consistent. Though I fear it's consitency will have DA 2 as it's foundation.

Short answer: Nope. I'm not worried.

Long answer:
There is always the danger of disappointment, as in every game you look forward to. There will most definitely be aspects in the game I feel could have been handled better or that I personally don't like. Such is the fate of a fan. But overall, I have faith that Bioware will deliver as they have always done.

I second this. Just a bit worried about a disappointment ala DA2.
