There has been a tactical cloak crisis since the day the game was released. I remember the old days. It was brutal.

The reason BSN lights up like a Christmas tree is because people whose default character is a Turian Ghost with a Cerberus Harrier would need to- dare I say it?- learn how to play a skill-based class... THE HORROR.

Sauce(s): If I have to play with one more 10 year-old Turian Ghost with a Cerberus Harrier...

You can't nerf an entire class because of one kit.

The GI is just as much an offender as the TGI.

I don't think the day will ever come, but a Harrier nerf would be quite entertaining.

The big TC nerf last time had 7 (seven) pages of crying that first day - it was astounding.

I dont see a similar level this time, and the player base is probably smaller, but we'll see...

I don't think it's a crisis. But with the release of the latest set of infiltrators it's becoming more apparent that Tac cloak does tend to skew tech power balance in favour of inf. over engineers, which is odd considering they are a dedicated power class.

The level of damage the cloak is fine, it should stay, I think that it should not apply to both weapon and power damage, by virtue of picking the damage evolution. Coupled with the cooldown reset for the separate power on cloak it's a powerful combination. Problem is the only way to adjust it is a whole sale reworking of Tac Cloak from the ground up changing the evolutions and splitting the options. While buffing the powers from the weaker Inf and other classes up to snuff such as tech and biotic powers. which could do with a small buff across the board in some cases.

Something like this

Yet I don't think Bioware is willing to undertake the level of work to do that, which would require a patch, so the current cloak is the best option available, for want of anything better. Despite some people still trying to hit it with a nerf stick and take the 20% damage off it etc. which is daft..

See, we are in the Order of the Phoenix stage of the Second Tactical Cloak Crisis. The pieces are falling into place and both sides are preparing for war. The Half Blood Prince begins tomorrow once they mess around with the Huntress. Then... the war shall begin.

Meh, I don't think anything will come of it. It already seem like it's burning down, mostly being kept alive by threads like this wondering whether something will happen.

Really, you are turning this into a console flame war and with all the swearing too?
Is that your thing? Do you make everything about "consoles vs PC's" as if it was a real thing and not something in the minds of fanboys.

There is no crisis. People are just "performing" attention whoring.
Also TC is sh^t, it needs a buff.

TC is fine as it is. Powerful, but gets you killed if you don't take cover and restore shields every so often, unless you're a TGI with free Ops-packs

The Tactical Cloak Crisis has been the front line of the Buff/Nerf war for sometime now. I hope the Buffers win out I don't think it needs a change.

Personally I wouldn't mind if Tac Cloak gets an overhaul... Other powers/weapons got nerfed simply because they're too powerfull when combined with Tac Cloak.. What's worse is that the nerfs affected other class more than their infiltrator counterpart...It might even prevent buffing of other powers because it might become OP in combination with TC.. TC is just too good because it allows you to carry heavy weapons and still have very fast cooldown because its cooldown mechanics is easily abused...

Whut?

Taking cover and letting shields restore is par for course for every class, except those with easy shield boosting powers. This is hardly a TC only thing.

Calling it : There will be a third TC crisis after Recon Mines get nerfed, which will barely affect the Drell Infiltrator while the Volus Engineer will lose a significant amount of ass kicking potential.

Or maybe it will be a homing grenade nerf.

Or both.

No we are not...we are in the midst of the forum is full of silly kids who are tired of being outplayed by better players round #43550349367340

The Infiltrators power is TC, it needs a damage bonus or it is a pointless class. Wow look I can go invisible guys and do absolutely nothing.

No. The reason BSN lit up was because the Havoc got nerfed too. EVEN THOUGH HE WAS UNDERPOWERED TO BEGIN WITH.

Stop diverting the issue. The problem isn't with TC. Nerf the TGI.

The nerf that hit the already underpowered Havoc soldier, making it abysmally bad. The fact that the Quarian Male soldier is lackluster, because it shares sabotage with the FQI, and the power is completely useless without tactical cloak.

These two issues only threw the matter into the spotlight again.

I hate nerfs and pro-nerfers. If this game needs anything, is more buffs to skills and guns to counter the horrible glitches, bugs and dismal AI the game has.

If you don't like infiltrators and think they are OP, hey, you have the right to be stupid, but the GI, and by extension the GE, do not needs any nerfs when you are getting dropped all day and your infiltrator buddy is obliterating everything to carry the game. Don't like it? Don't use it. Simple as that. It's not like you are losing anything for having GIs and TGIs in your game. Or maybe you value your score too much?

Other characters have suffered the consequences from Biower's poor balance decisions, while the targeted kits remained unaffected. That is a trend that has to stop, but most likely will not.

Actually, yes.

My Geth Engineer lost 10m of his hunter vision and my Havoc lost about 2000 shields.
